    Unlike in previous years, when Pop rests key players there just isn't anyone to strike fear into opposing teams. Opponents will live with LMA taking fadeaway jumpers or Murray shooting. In the past everyone was a three-point threat in games like these and the team was able to generate good looks; nowadays the Spurs can't even pass the ball without turning it over.

    Teams were content with letting LMA take jump shots his entire career. Meanwhile, he became an all-star and his team never made it past the first round of the playoffs until Liliard hit the shot heard around Portland.
