    My theory on why Bannon is doing this:

    Bannon senses that the Rs and Ds in Congress might arrive at an agreement on DACA that will secure the Dreamers' status. He's turning on Trump preemptively so that if/when Trump signs the deal, Bannon can accuse everyone in government of betrayal and emerge as the leader of the Deplorables.
