    OH BOY!!!

Now therefore kill every male among the little ones (taph), and kill every woman that hath known man by lying with him. But all the female children (taph), that have not known a man by lying with him, keep alive for yourselves.

    OH BOY!!

    Chris

name democrats who support the right of a muslim to hang gay people
name democrats who support the subjugation of women by muslim men

there is a difference between saying "i want to allow muslim people to immigrate here" and "i want to allow the practice of sharia law here"
I’m ambivalent on the immigration question. But there’s some slippage in the argument that reduces everything to a question of sharia law. While all democrats would oppose that, I’m guessing that a sizeable portion of liberals (democrats included) would not criticize the Muslim belief that, for example, the punishment for apostasy is death.

Drawing the line at sharia is far too lenient.

i will admit that i was trying to simplify the point with the sharia statement

but i'm struggling to believe that there are any liberals who would NOT be critical of the idea of death to apostates. i mean, my whole point is that allowing people to move here is not the same as endorsing every tenet of their religion (such as the stuff in the meme above). sharia is just a common talking point (i believe obama was supposedly in the process of implementing sharia )

That’s fair, and something I agree with.

As for the rest, I definitely think there is a pronounced reluctance by democrats/liberals to speak out on some of the More regressive aspects of Islam. But that’s another debate.

its about the same as any politician's reluctance to speak out of the more regressive aspects of christianity. i dont think islam is getting any special treatment in that regard... though there is admittedly some semen shielding which is more of a pushback on constant attacks on islam. kinda like what i do on this forum

You posted a tweet about Muslims in Turkey condoning child marriage as an example of why that faith is bad.

I posted an OT verse condoing the same thing.

It’s bad because you take OT verses literally, like the passage about sexuality.

Was that really so hard that you couldn’t piece it together? Although I bet Pav is flattered you’ve imitated his schtick

Tell me more about 'pronounced reluctance' and the 'regressive aspects of Islam'. Your diction is fascinating.

Politicians are part, but not all, of what I’m talking about. I see that reluctance on the part of academics, activists, reporters, etc. I also think politicians should speak out on the regressive aspects of both Christianity and Islam, although I think Islam is way more regressive (they’d never do so because suicide).

Christianity has pockets here and there that make it taboo but Islam's pockets are ripped right out of them jeans worldwide. give me a break if we are comparing some dip s in Utah to that of ME Countries riddled with pedophiles who are just doing Mohammad's work. ing disgusting!

Which countries (like Turkey) are using the Bible and Christianity to enable child marriage through litigation?

i mean, if you can find these academics, activists, reporters speaking in favor of death to apostates, i'd see your point a bit more

its not like politicians who act pro-christian are out there endorsing the death penalty for gays

No, I mean they’re (activists, politicians, academics, etc) not speaking out against Islam on the basis of it being hegemonic/neo-colonialist etc

You were comparing the Old Testament to Turkey allowing 9 year olds to marry and procreate. I'm still waiting for some clarification on your point. (if you had one)
