Isn’t Harden’s injury considered a tear?
You've been calling to trade Kawhi even last season. Weird dude
Isn’t Harden’s injury considered a tear?
So another mysterious injury that wasn't caught on camera (correct me if I'm wrong)? Hmmm..
The moral of the story is "STOP ING BABYING PLAYERS." It does not make any difference at all on whether or not they get hurt at all or not. The Basketball gods are ing punishing Pop's ass for this rest . They are definitely taking it out on his resting ass.
Completely different scenarios tho. A partial tear is something they're familiar with, it's a common sports injury. The quad thing was something they weren't familiar with.
Also, Pop said sooner rather than later in mid November, so he didn't say it then it took 27 games. Kawhi was back a couple weeks after that quote
Doesn't sound so bad. Unless he's Markelle Fultz, a mildly sprained shoulder shouldn't keep him out for more than a week or so.
Point is.. you don't know. They don't know. They were hoping sooner rather than later since he was announced to miss the preseason, only in November due to ridiculous pressure bc it had been a damn long time without an update did Pop start saying sooner rather than later. They are hoping he can play in the next couple of games. We shall see.
That's definitely what's happening.....
I've been asking for weeks, but can anyone show me an article or scientific evidence that resting players and playing limited minutes decreases their chances on injury throughout the season? If not, then I will say what I've been saying with this resting since 2010. Stop doing it, it's total bull .
I only ever really agreed with it for Tim because of his knee and sometimes with Manu. I was fine doing it with those two, but definitely not for anyone else. Anyone else, unless they have similar ailments as Tim, or a major injury they're recovering from, then they shouldn't be resting. Saving something for later in the season is the stupidest thing I've heard. That DOES NOT help you later in the season because your conditioning isn't as good when you need it to be in the playoffs. If you want to give them some rest for the playoffs, you can give them some rest by giving them some games off at the end of the season if you've got your seeding locked up. However, you also have to keep in mind rhythm. You don't want to do what Dallas did in 2007 and lose your team's rhythm and focus heading into the playoffs, so you also gotta keep that in mind too.
Also, I've heard Pop say something like put some in the bank for later. What does that mean? It's not money he's saving. lol.
Spurs need to get new medical staff too, because these guys seem like complete idiots if they're the ones advising Pop. If the team's trainers and medical staff are the ones feeding him this bull , then it seems like they're making up to try and keep their jobs by playing the odds of someone not getting hurt if they play less minutes. How about doing your ing job and have the player strong enough to be able to play those extra minutes like every other team. Injuries can happen at any time. Babying players won't help anything in the long run.

man, how is Kawhi so injury prone? The Spurs need to go hire Phoenix's trainers ASAP. First half of Ginobili's prime was spent injured and now it looks like the same with Leonard.
and it's basketball, not coal mining, basketball is a fun pastime that keeps you healthy
This season has been weird with injuries
Ha Ha Ha. Yeah, Pop doesn’t play “injures” players. Kawhi probably out for the next three months.
Aside from Thibs, most coaches are resting guys , it isn't just freaking Pop. If it was the basketball God's, most players would be injured, that theory is just silly.
Kawhi is officially injury prone. Doesn't he injure a shoulder every year?
When I say Basketball Gods it's just another word for karma.
Pop is the one that started this and he's taken it to a whole other level compared to other teams.
Where's the proof or evidence that it makes any difference? Show me an article or something scientific to back it up. What are the Spurs trainers and medical staff basing this on?
I don't think so
Yeah this is good to read. When I hear tear I think of something worse. The fact that he might be good to go against LAL is nice to hear....even if it isn’t true!
Kawhi is a glass scrub, as I’ve said.
Well same analogy applies, karma should be affecting Cleveland, GS, and every other team who decides they want to rest their players.
Resting guys isn't some magical thing that prevents injuries. From my understanding, it's about keeping the body fresh and reducing wear & tear. I mean, TD hated it, but he admitted that it helped allow him to play longer.
And fyi Kawhi hasn't been rested this year, he's been worked back into the rotation slowly coming off a pretty rare injury. It doesn't even seem like there's been a lot of rest for our guys this year, just injuries.
Even if it isn't super serious, at the least it means another month of Pop babying him and sitting him out every other game...so horrible news![]()
May as well just throw in the towel at this point. Season is ed.
Nah.. not happening.
Oh well, thank goodness we have his little running mate MVP.
