    I'd say very slim. He's always seemed to be more pro-aggies although he's considering both schools. I think Price being gone would have been our real shot at him. Now that it's known Price is staying in ag country I'd bet that shuts the door on us for good.

    With no official announcement coming down yet, Inside Texas said "all 10 coaches" will be on the road today and then will return to Austin for official visit weekend.

    Sounds like we'll know very soon who the new coach is.

    My wish list for closing 2018 recruiting cycle is as follows

    1. Keep all the guys we have committed.
    2. Get the Rice grad transfer
    3. Get the Stanford grad transfer
    4. Get two dlinemen.
    5. Get the Mormon QB from Cali

    Do those things and I will say this was the best recruiting haul any 7-6 team ever had.

    Not only is Calvin Anderson from Austin, his mom is UT grad...i liked our chances to begin with now I like them even more. Can't bet against mom, right?

    I may have jumped the gun a bit.

    It's possible the extra coach on the road is Carrington or Huff until the new guy is hired.

    Looking for clarification on that.

    He is still being paid by A&M so a lower salary won't be a problem.

    Since de-committing from Arizona State in December, he has received Tech and TCU offers.

    1. Coburn + Ingram
    2. Rice and Stanford grad
    3. 1 extra linemen

    The report said he is not expected to be the new assistant.

    He will be a lower staff member to help with the offense, but he can't be a coach on the field.

    He will be QC, or quality control.

    So a coaching move was the reason the TFB guys were saying was reason for a strong finish. Carrington can be on the road recruiting and he's proven winner among recruits and families.

    his desk. It's a win situation for Texas.
