Backcourt scoring and defense is bad. Pop loves the Parker/Mills/Forbes lineup and it's just not working. Can't defend, streaky scoring. Only 2 of the 3 should be on the court at the same time. Bertans should have come in earlier but instead Pop put him in for Pau when there was 9 seconds left. Makes no sense at all. At this point for formality's sake Parker is just a figurehead starter. Let DJM be the full fledged starter! TP looks like he is 60 y.o on the court. Aldridge just had a bad shooting night, what can you do?

agree with pop as I am proud too after this game ... LMA continues to work hard, but last night he was not rewarded the rim ... losing so many games sucks

Just another game of many where the Spurs can't score, shooting under 40% for most or all of the game. At one point, 28%.

Well the lack of super 3 pt shooting(36% or higher) will doom the Spurs against the only teams that matter.
Sorry but to beat GS and HOU yer gonna need 2 guys that can hit the 3 ptr at around 40% to keep up on most nights

Spurs don't have 2 pt shooters. And how many shots under 3 feet do LMA and Pau miss, EVERY GAME?

Yeah, I can't remember the last time I saw so many shots bounce around the rim or swirl out. Just couldn't take the lid off.

I liked the teams effort. If they play that way against teams under .500, we will start winning a lot more of those games.

Spurs have 3 guys shooting near 40% or higher from 3(Green, Bertans and Forbes) at high volume(so, excluding Pau) and Mills isn't that far off IIRC..the problem isn't the number of players, it's the type of player(Bertans and Forbes are situational pieces) and the volume at the top of the food chain IMO..

Ultimately, it's an issue that the highest volume players for the Spurs(outside of Kawhi) take naturally inefficient shots(Aldridge, Gay, Parker), while the Warriors and Rockets' high-volume players are all elite 3-point shooters..

Entertaining game, though..the only other game I attended this season was the Warriors, and this was the complete opposite of that matchup

The amount of shots the Spurs had rim out was scary, tbh..

That's been the trend all season, and it's a sign that the offense has no rhythm.
