1999 - "Did the Lakers win the championship? Did the Utah Jazz win the championship?" No, we finally did it!!!

2003 - David's maniacal jumping and dancing with a half minute left in game 6 as he got subbed out for the final time. Timmy = GOAT

2005 - Manuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuu! And Timmy. Dynamic duo for the ages. And how about that defense?

2007 - we got some help from the league/refs for a change... oh yeah, and those pesky Golden State Warriors we all hate now

2014 - KSAT 12 "Drive for 5, Unfinished Business" flashes on the screen all season... and one night in June, the moment it changes to "Finished Business"

5 will top them all because the trauma of 6 would have killed other franchises..

2007 is definitely the least memorable.. Not going through the Mavs-- a bad match-up, then-- and the suspensions controversy vs Phoenix followed by routine blowout of an outmatched Jazz and Cavs teams just makes it meh..

1999 I think the first because it...well, it was the first. After years and years, they finally did it.

Closely followed by 2005 over Detroit. Beating the defending champs (who had beat the Lakers the year before).
And it was a damn good series. And the exciting Horry game.

If they had won 2013, that would have been up there.
2014 was awesome but it always reminds me of 2013.

2014 - redemption, the big 3 winning another one 7 in years later, Kawhi's emergence as a superstar

2003 - duncan winning mvp/finals MVP, knocking off the 3-peat lakers, legendary individual finals performance by duncan. emergence of a big 3. heroic performances by kerr, stephen jackson, robinson retiring on top

1999 - the first one always holds a soft spot. memorial day miracle, sweeping the lakers (beginning of a rivalry)... but overall not the most eventful run or memorable roster.

2005 - easily the toughest finals opponent we've faced. that pistons team was no joke, and it was the best finals series we were a part of (outside of 2013 ) but the overall run was not memorable at all, and even though horry was a miracle worker in game 5 it was also the least clutch game of duncan's life imo

2007 - snoozefest. cakewalk western conference until phoenix which always has an asterisk due to the hipcheck/suspensions. and the finals were very forgettable

Tough to decide between 2003 and 2005.

With 2003 the team around Duncan was not good, everyone was either too raw or way too old. Finally getting over the dreaded Laker hump after 3 years of suffering under their thumb was pretty incredible, as was overcoming a mediocre 19-13 start to that season to win 60 games and be #1 overall and win the 'ship in the Admiral's final season. Even getting over the mini hump that was the pesky-arse '03 Marbury Suns felt great.

With 2005 it was... how can we overcome the truly awful sting of 0.4? At least the Lakers were a cooked goose by then, so that was good. But those Suns were really on fire, though they were more likable than most other opponents. The main problem was the top heavy East that seemed to have our number. That Detroit/Miami was a great series and Detroit certainly gave us our money's worth and more. Best no-superstar team of all time, 'Sheed was still a borderline star but not what he was in his Portland days. Best defense ever, too. Great series and definitely very scary when we were down 9 points in the third quarter of game 7 knowing that no team had ever blown a 3-2 series lead with both remaining home games (and never will, now that they changed the format).

I agree 100% with this post.

The only thing is, maybe for me I would switch 1999 and 2005 due to my age in 1999, I was kindergarten age back then, but if I was a little older I'd possibly agree with that too... though the playoffs were a bit of a cakewalk, the Lakers weren't ready, the Blazers weren't ready nor emotionally stable enough, and we got extremely lucky drawing the terrible Knicks in the Finals who beat the defensively-dominant Heat in a 5 game first round due to a fluky shot by Allan Houston.

Those '99 Heat were probably the best team besides us that year... they had Mourning, Tim Hardaway, Bruce Bowen, Jamal Mashburn all in their primes and... it was kind of the post-Jordan hangover year for the whole league, too, it was a down year... worst year for offense in NBA history... we took full advantage though.

05 my fav. Should have repeated in 06. I've always said that was our best chance out of all the years after we won the ship. 00 I don't believe we get past Portland, maybe not even Lakers. 04 even if .4 doesn't happen, do we still win a game 7 against that super team Lakers? And even if, are we burnt out for Minny with them having the home court? And that Pistons team was no joke in Finals. No guarantees. 08 we probably lose to Celtics in Finals. And 15 we weren't healthy enough to get past Houston and especially the Warriors had we survived the Clippers. If Manu doesn't foul in 06 semis, we sweep phx more than likely and match up very well with that 06 Heat team in Finals imho. We win in 6 games at most. Sorry, I know I went off on a tangent but I've been wanting to get that out there regarding the best chance for a repeat.

2003 was my favorite championship. Duncan was at his peak during that run and I just liked watching young Manu,Jax,Parker,Rose. Also Speedy off the bench was fun to watch. That team had a great combination of youth and veterans.

agreed on the repeat. '06 Heat team was underrated, though. And the refs really, really wanted them to win that year.

We would have crushed the Timberwolves in 2004, Detroit was a complete different animal that year and they were deeper off the bench that year than in 2005.

2000 was Blazers/Lakers and the Blazers had it and choked it away, Falcons-Patriots style.

2008 team seemed burned out from winning, I was honestly even impressed they got past the Pelicans series they kept spamming the alley oop crap and we had no answer. After losing the 20 point lead in game 1 with a huge rest deficit in the Lakers series, we all knew it was over.

I can go with favorite moments but just can't nail it down to a favorite one year.

So many, certainly not limited to these but...
Robert Horrys left handed slam dunk from just inside the free throw line. JFC.
Pattycakes 3 barrage vs Miami after we were down by like 10 or so early in the game. Had a lot of dough riding on that game so added to my ecstaticness.
Manus shoving away got Ray Allen en route to the dunk. Heatref rightfully stayed TFO as Allen had fouled Manu 1st.

Timmy Dunks my favorite was during Game 6 2013

2014 was great, I think I was finally old enough to really appreciate it and the team was just a lot of fun to watch. Probably the most motivated Spurs team I've ever seen.

My personal favorite was 2005. Such a great championship during such a great time in my life. Followed very closely by our revenge of 2014. Seriously though, 05 was really incredible. I feel like in 05, our guys fought the end boss of Virtua Fighter where it's the same exact character just covered in all silver. Of course, the Spurs were better but there was such a similar style of play with the Pistons. And it was pretty sweet watching Eminem do all those goofy dances in the stands only to lose in 7
