Just saw some highlights of the last game in Utah. White's work with Brimah is encouraging for both players.
when the "next man up" is an undersized shooter, i'm not terribly worried about finding the next one

More like top 8, which means we are constantly bringing in new faces to be regular rotation guys.
Nice looking jumper and better finishes in the paint than Dijon who has no touch around the rim when he's contested. I don't know how much of that he can translate but he looked good.
Next Toros game tomorrow night against the Sacramento Kings at the AT&T Center.
Seems to me that Dijon's touch around the rim - even when contested - is one of the better aspects of his game.
Still not very good. most if his baskets are hustle plays, transition baskets or o boards. In the Cavs game he was wide open under the rim since IThomas was "guarding" him. His floater is kind of an adventure. But in comparison to his jumper....

Seems like a grave insult to Murray.
Haha! It is what it is. His game in toto is just wildly inconsistent - except for rebounding. I think there is almost as good a chance that he will grow by 6" and 80 lbs into a PF as there is he will develop an NBA PG's skills.
Spurs beat the Warriors!!!

Man, are we struggling to find things to celebrate this season!
Good game from LJC too.
I'd like to see the Brimah kid brought up and used like Capela. He is looking athletic and a great shot blocker.
Don't get your hopes up too high. Capela is playing his 4th season as a NBA player and he is still younger than Brimah by a couple of months. You can't reasonably expect Brimah to catch up on that development time any time soon.
I finally saw a full game, I'm in board the Brimah express.
Call him up. It's too bad the deadline for adding two way players has passed. I don't see any NBA future for Hilliard.
He was an odd signing. The Spurs clearly seem to be using the two-ways in a different way than I think they were intended, and it kind of sucks. I thought the contracts were supposed to be a way to keep prospects in the States rather than having them go overseas. But the team is just using the contracts as 16th and 17th men while having guys like Hanlan and Blossomgame on d-league deals. The league and union likely agreed to this to get around situations like Cady and Huestis (not that the latter could have signed a two-way deal anyway). I have no idea why Jaron's and Olivier's agents didn't push for the bigger deals. But SA has always been underratedly ty when it comes to contracts.
Other teams have 2017 second rounders on two-ways, I see no good reason to keep Blossomgame in poverty on g-league wages. Hanlon I don't care about, he was just the necessary flotsam to get Diaw off the books.
Blossomgame agreed to this. He could've forced his tender offer last fall had he wanted it.
Brimah continues to dominate the league in blocks. Bring his ass up and cut Joff
he's about to turn 24. he doesn't have to match Capela (a good starting center) in order to help our squad (as a reserve center). i mean, if he can give us some of what dedmon did, that would still be a massive upgrade to joff...
I'm not sure Hanlan was considered flotsam by PATFO. He was a mid-second-rounder. The Jazz could have easily given a top-55 protected pick instead like Atlanta did. I'd go as far as to say the Spurs cared more about Hanlan than they did about Blossomgame.
If the Spurs do like him that much I don't see why. He seems like a decent player for Europe, nothing remarkable about him to make him NBA caliber.
