MIC isn't about winning, on the contrary, the goal is to create and extend "conflict" as much as possible

Sad part is muricans are proud of their inefficient killing machine, and even have the balls to blame foreigners / foreign aid programs for their economic problems
Unlike the Mexicans who just grab a gallon of water and sack of beans and head to "Murica".

Still more respectable than bombing a country for 17 years and still having trouble protecting its capital city

Despite $8.7 Billion Spent on Afghan Drug War, More Drugs Than Ever

SIGAR, the Special Inspector General for Afghanistan Reconstruction, released a report

The United States has appropriated $8.7 billion for counternarcotics efforts since 2002, but more Afghan land was under opium-poppy cultivation in 2017 than ever before.

According to the United Nations Office of Drugs and Crime, cultivation levels increased 63% from the previous year to 328,000 hectares.

Potential opium production levels increased 87% to 9,000 tons from 2016.

Eradication levels also increased from the prior year’s results, but the 750 hectares eradicated barely registered against the cultivation figure.

Afghanistan seems to have a drug problem:

In addition to exporting opiates, Afghanistan suffers from widespread illegal drug use.

A U.S.-funded 2015 survey estimated approximately 11% of the population would test positive for drugs.

Drug use among men, women and children is among the highest do ented worldwide.

The report also discusses the astronomical cost of the bombing missions against drug labs. What good is it doing?

The United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime’s (UNODC) released its annual country opium survey in November 2017.

Cultivation increased 63% from 201,000 hectares in 2016 to 328,000 hectares, while production increased 87% from 4,800 to 9,000 tons.

(One hectare is roughly 2.5 acres. The total area under opium cultivation approaches the size of Rhode Island.)

All major poppy-growing provinces exhibited strong increases in cultivation.

In Helmand, cultivation increased 79%, accounting for nearly half of the total national increase.

losing the war vs a bunch of mountain bedouins armd with 30 year old kalashnikovs
It's well known that they are getting Chinese and Russian arms. The Pashtuns control most of the opium trade. It's not like they have no money.

The war is not going to be won militarily. It is going to be won culturally. The other ethnic groups now look very unfavorably on the Pashtun and their Taliban.

including the many that come from central america and travel through mexico. these would be the former inhabitants of countries that the U.S. has endorsed regime change in or had a hand in the rise to power of despots in these countries. you can't expect refugees to stop coming across your border if you're constantly invading their countries borders.

and not just the repugs. hillary had her fingerprints on honduras as well. unfortunately, even carter had some involvement with el salvador. of course, most of the atrocities took place under reagan. CAFTA and NAFTA haven't helped things much either.

Now you're just all over the place.

That Taliban controls maybe 10% of the country and contests 10% more.

    Winning militarily.

Has zero to do with my point. When Mexico initiates a regime change in the US, let me know.
