Not saying he's right but I think this statement kinda puts in question this kid's understanding about what an opinion is.

Teach probably shouldn't have done that. Everyone knows you have to wait until your a college professor before its PC to say that. On that note, i remember a couple of HS teachers that thought they had a right to spout off their opinions on some taboo subjects.

Sounds like he hit a soft spot. Guarantee you teachers all over in every HS are pushing opinions. Every teacher needs to be suspended that does that then, regardless of subject.
Fine. Stick to teaching. Would probably greatly improve teaching skills if these opinion pushers were forced to teach.
Fair enough. Fwiw, the teachers that I remember doing that were also the ones that were thought of as the crappy teachers.
