I might have Murray or Manu 4th. Right now White has a mature offensive game, just under control and knows his game and how to play. He should, he's a million years older than Murray.
Murray's terrible shooting is one thing, his terrible finishing is worse. He has passed up so many opportunities to either score or penetrate hard that it's probably more crippling than his non-shooting. Some of that might be his handle, but I don't have much doing that if White was given the starting job he'd be scoring more, especially attacking the rim.
Once, and if, Murray's game matures it wouldn't be a doubt for me that Murray is better, but his crippled offensive game needs to improve over the remainder of the season.

Forget Jeff, this is the worst contract in Spurs history.
I wanted to see Murray be more aggressive and get to the basket. When I saw Danny do it I figured why isn’t Dejounte getting aggressive. He did in the second half when the Spurs pushed the tempo, went small and abandoned the 2 big lineups and post ups... He thrives in a faster pasced game.
Your observation on his dribble is on point. He has incredible quickness but bc his handle is high he’s prone to strips if he gets adventurous and sometimes if his lane is closed he doesn’t change direction or speed. Think he’s getting better though. We shall see what happens in terms of improving over the summer.

I wanted Spurs to dump him 2 years ago once Murray was drafted to try to flip him for a late 1st before his deal was up.
Yeah, there was a couple people that didn't want him back (I couldn't remember who. Props to you if you had that stance too), but probably 98% of the people here weren't against him coming back at all.
I just didn't think he's a good enough player for what he was about to get paid. I didn't give a crap about the culture. I'm always after talent and skill over culture. I only care about culture if that guy is a superstar or all-star leading your team. I want a team leader with integrity (TD, D-Rob, Manu etc.). I don't give a if some role player brings culture - I'm not overpaying for that . I want them to do the dirty work.
The worst thing is he HAS to close games because of that gigantic salary despite being a fat choker every time.
It's unacceptable to bench Parker who had 11pts & 9ast for this ****. Pop can keep trying to justify Drunkford's decision but he's losing games in the process. I'm sure it's worth it for them though, anything to prevent their egos from taking hits
And Drunkford has the audacity to say the relationship with Kawhi is “challenging.” Just look no further than this stupid contract. Pretty much destroyed any chance at the Spurs improving because of it.
