Lets see how much longer corrupt got politicians will cause harm to people, especially browns and other minorities by continued blocking of legalizing pot.

This Harvard Law Review commentary does bring out one glaring flaw in the bill, that being details on where the taxed money would go. Imo aka politicians making sure they can skim money even after it's legalized / decriminalized.

BigPharma will kill it, Ryan/McConnell probably won't even bring it to a vote.

How does not passing a pot act hurt minorities more than anyone else? What a stupid statement.

They should pass it, but lobbying has taken the balls of all our politicians and medical care is a ing joke in this country and both sides are to blame.

Because many of the busts the past 30 years have been disproportionally on blacks and browns. Everyone knows that.
Thus they have a record, thus they cannot own and operate or even work at a dispensary under the current Federal Bull Law.

From the Harvard article: "A BuzzFeed News report based on more than 150 interviews with those connected to the legal marijuana industry, including dispensary owners, consultants, and salespeople, estimated that fewer than three dozen of the over 3,000 storefront marijuana dispensaries in the United States are owned by black people."

I'd still like to see Widows Peak and Turkey Gobble Neck have to face the cameras and spin more of their cowardly bull . Even if it was only momentarily. Give Trump a little credit, he tried getting rid of Turkey Neck.

Marihuana Tax Act of 1937 specifically targeted browns. Prosecuting black for mj was certainly on some US racists minds, since blacks got prosecuted for everything.

The most important agricultural product in the 13 colonies was hemp, which got prohibited along with mj.

America's got some horribly ed up problems that NOBODY is prioritizing, or even working on.

    You're an idiot.

Confusing street busts and Fed busting commercial pot farms.

    I did not confuse anything.

OK, genius, what does your article have to do with the pot law being aimed at hurting minorites? Because less than 1% of commercial pot ops are owned by blacks and browns? What does that have to do with the Fed law and how does this statistic prove your claim?

LOL, posting a ty buzzfeed article to say a Fed pot law to legalize it will hurt coloreds. Yeah, dealing on the streets won't be as profitable anymore, that's about it.

i'd agree with referencing anything related to buzzfeed and bud on the streets is less expensive in those legal states than bud in a dispensary. taxes and surcharges in dispensaries. i'd have to agree that it's less profitable on the streets considering they have to sell below what dispensaries charge. who knows, maybe by selling for less $ those guys take on more "clients" and thus it is more profitable but more work?
