... for firings and resignations in the first year.

    Here's Dunn Tenpas' theory:
"Since the President relied on many of his connections in the private sector and was reluctant to hire those who opposed him during the campaign, the absence of prior White House experience among the ranks of the senior staff was glaring. In addition, the insurgent-like features of the Trump campaign and the relatively small campaign staff limited the pool of experienced applicants. While it created new opportunities for many individuals who had not previously worked in the White House, such inexperience may have led to poor performance and a slew of first-year departures."

Incompetent from the get-go, many were obviously in over their head.

Doesn't speak well for those that remain.

More than one in three Trump administration staffers have left the White House in its first year, a pace that far eclipses the rate of departures in the previous five White Houses, according to a study done by Kathryn Dunn Tenpas of the Brookings Ins ute.
The pace of resignations, firings and other assorted departures from the Trump White House is twice what it was in George W. Bush's first year as president and triple that of Barack Obama's first year in office.

We're about to hear about a couple of more.

Pruitt and Shulking are under pressure to step down for doing what Tom Price did. Flying first class while we foot the bill.

What do you expect when you get a bunch of rich ass mother ers in there who are used to acting like they are better than everybody else?

"run the government like a business" sounds good until you realize that businesses overpay their CEOs and let them use their companies like private piggy banks.

    Good point.

How about "sounds good to people who have no idea how to run a government or a large business"?

I'd go with "sounds good to people who have no idea what the they're talking about"

I was trying to be a bit more polite about it, but yeah, let's go with that. When I hear "run the government like a business" I automatically put them in the "dumb-ass" box in my mind.
