Losing Diaw was what started the slow death of the beautiful game

His defense was key during the 2014 run
When healthy, Maybe the best big that played with Duncan besides D Rob
Loved Tiago.
He was fantastic in Blazers' series, he was under LMA's skin all games...I missed him so much against Clippers in 2015, with a healthy Splitter the series would have been a lot different.
Also, he was part of the Spurs last great times with the Foreign Legion and the Beautiful Game squad....His P&R with Manu were perfect.
only softie ever that could impact playoff games with legal screens
The only thing to dislike about Tiago is his wife. that , she's a rude and stuck up person
Still upset at him for this:
But, at least he did this:
Either way, thanks for contributing to the annihilation of the Heatles![]()
Miss the days when Spurs players were likeable and easy to support. To go from that to “ma touches” “I’m Gasoft and I need to start.” Really sad to see.
The Golden God. He will always be one of my favorite role players ever.
Thanks for the memories Tiago, great performances during your years here.
Splitter didn't need to roid up to get his blocks.
Splitter deserves respect for being a huge of part of the Spurs resurgence from '11-'14.
But he did need to commit a goaltending violation.
Very good on the Spurs; I actually thought he retired a year or so ago.
If Pop had listened to the #freetiago crowd in the 2011 playoffs, the Spurs may not have suffered that humiliating first-round loss to Zbo and the Grizz.

long live the golden god
great role player. he was HUGE in the '14 first round series against dallas
Why? You interested?
I entered here to say this. His defense over Novitzki was outstanding.
Also shut down Softdridge pretty well the following round.
Goes with the territory when you abandon the "Built not bought" philosophy.
"Splitter was traded to the Atlanta Hawks in 2015, but was traded to the Philiadelphia 76ers last February. Although he moved on from the Alamo City, Splitter was seen at the Spurs training camp last year as an unsigned agent. Coach Gregg Popovich allegedly told Splitter that he would keep an open spot for Splitter on his roster."
what could have been...
yeah that sucked but i like that he even went for it, we needed something to get us going.
too bad he was still splitter![]()
