But it seems we've moved beyond that all the same; and we're clearly talking about is it fair for a girl on testosterone to compete against girls not under that performance enhancing hormone? You've said it is not fair and should not be allowed; so, we agree.

You can "dude" all you want. The line after that states that Beggs or the school made no pe ion to compete with the boys. And as it stands, the district and state are aware of the issue regardless of this and are allowing her to benefit from the unfair advantage. You made a point about testing; well, by that logic you wouldn't have a beef with someone using steroids because they're not testing.

That would probably work in this case since the person wants to move up to a higher level of compe ion. Would be more problematic for male to female transitions. I can see why the UIL isn't doing anything in knee-jerk message board fashion, but you do you.

From a science standpoint it's not that easy. We used to use XX XY testing in the Olympics until we found out that some XY don't turn on that Y and develop like a female and now we know that some XX develop as males and this does not even cover the XXY folks!
