Sullinger could hardly be worse than BP3. However, are you overlooking the opportunity we finally have to sign Scola?!?!
People are going to laugh or bring up a post I made a couple of years ago, but Jared Sullinger is tearing up the CBA right now, going for 30/17/4 on 50-percent shooting and 36 percent from three. Their season lets out this month, and with the number or former NBA players over there, there could be a small run on guys akin to the buyout season. Sullinger seems like a guy who'd fit in with the current roster. He's obviously not as good as he looks in China, but his ability to score and rebound in the NBA hasn't been his problem. He has had conditioning issues and injuries. Seems like a good guy to bring in for the last couple of months of the season.
If not Sully, there are a number of bigs other there who could possibly be worth a spot on the roster for a team that need depth:

Blazers down 8 to the Lakers with 7 minutes left in the game. A Boogie-less Pelicans team with a bunch of G-Leaguers could be the 3rd seed by the end of the night.![]()
El que persevera triunfa.
ADavis Pelicans finally make it.
And just like that, Lillard went atomic on the Lakers. Tied game.
During this past stretch of 7 games, the Spurs are 1-4 in games decided by 5 points or less, including 3 blown double digit 4th quarter leads..
In the same span, their compe ion from the 3rd seed to the 10th seed is 11-2 in games decided by 5 or lessthat's all it takes to miss the playoffs..the lack of a closer is where Kawhi's absence has been felt the most..
I've distinctly remember about 5 loses this season from a missed open 3 mainly by Mills but also by Green. They were either to take the lead or secure it. Pop would say that it doesn't come down that shot. Fans remember those misses. Years past we hit them. On top of that, we obviously have missed Leonard down the stretch who is clutch as. I would say this team, despite its flaws, is 10 wins better when healthy. And I'm not talking super healthy too.
For sure... many games that came within 5 points in the last 5 minutes, Kawhi would have for sure closed out. It strengthens his case for MVP when he comes back next season to reclaim his "throne"....

I'd love to see him as DPOY this season but he missed +25 games and media is talking about KD and Dray for DPOY...Of course Basketball Gods are killing me this year.
Silver cracking down on blatant tanking... Chicago fans are mad.
I figure, had Pop wanted to really tank this season, it was very achievable... If they had traded Lamarcus, they would have been up for a major tank job. I definitely think Pop hoped Kawhi would be back a lot earlier this season and that it wasn't going to get wasted.
It's going to be interesting to see what the Spurs approach will be, if it becomes clear they will miss the playoffs.

Jeeeeezzzzuuuus, the media already starting a "GSW players are getting old campaign"... this is extremely premature.
Dray 28...Klay 28 KD/Curry 29 ...Old?
Tell me when they have 4 players in key roles like these...LMA 32, Parker 35, Pau 37, Manu 40.
True. But if it means the media has got bored with the Dubs and they've already started the "When will they fall?" schtick that the Spurs had to hear every year after Duncan turned 30, I'm for it. It's a sign the press wants a new story and is turning on those bas s in Oakland.
Raymond missed a dunk against the Nets that is what this is all about, but I youtubed the missed dunk and dude has been missing dunks since 2011. Basically, this is nothing.
If they mentioned Iguodala, Livingston and DWEst getting old then yea... but obviously those guys are replaceable so long as Curry/Durant/Klay can carry the burden, they will get ringchasers for cheap.
Don't know if you all remember Danny blocked Raymond the last time Spurs met GSW on a dunk attempt too, but that didn't make headlines... I think all this is bc Raymond's birthday was on March 1. I didn't even know that... just saw congrats on twitter for his birthday.
28 is old? Pfft our mummy Manu is going to be our 6th man until he is 50.
Yessirrreeeeee!
The Begging 2.0
Agreed. Draymond has never been super athletic. I have read that was one of the main reasons why he wasn't drafted in the first round. I remember in the Spurs game at GSW he got blocked 4 times.
Looks like Jokic might've ed his knee.
I missed it what happened?
Since Millsap has come back to play they have had problems anyway...
Ended up being nothing. His knee buckled when he tried to spin past a Cav defender in the paint. Went to the locker room for a while but is back on the court now.
Think Millsap return and the bad fit he's been for that Nuggets team might save the Spurs from missing the playoffs..
Awful signing for Denver. Should have stuck with youth movement and kept growing as team built around Jokic..

Where have I seen this happen before at the Staples Center
Bad lob from Hezonja but it absolutely feels like 2015... The Magic are tanking so I am sure no one is grieving. What a bad situation for players to be in with a tanking team. The players themselves are still trying to win games... It has to be frustrating.
