Nope. Harden already anointed for this season's MVP (just like Westbrook was anointed MVP last season despite Kawhi being the MVP). And if anyone would bump him it would be Chris Paul with the Kobe Bryant lifetime achievement MVP.
Westbrook needs 190 rebounds in last 17 games for another season triple double
* 17 games left for OKC
* Westbrook has 610 rebounds in 63 games
* 190 more rebounds would give him 800 boards in 80 games. He would need to average 11.2 rbs/game down stretch.
* Westbrook also needs 157 assists to hit 800 assists for the season, average 9.3 ast. per game down stretch.
Does Westbrook get MVP with another season triple-double? He would have a 25/10/10 season for a winning team, and maybe with luck move into a top 4 postilion for playoffs. He is clearly the best player in the NBA.
BTW - anyone else notice that Westbrook looks like Charles Barkley?

Westbrook isn't even top 5 in the MVP race.
Westbrook looks nohting like Barkley.
I hope he does it, just to see how the media spins it when it's given to Harden. It was the only reason he got it last year even though he was clearly stat padding and his team was pretty meh.
Westbrook is the 3nd weakest MVP winner of this millennium (Iverson, Rose)
He’s also on the cusp of missing the playoffs with George and Melo on his team.
Today’s NBA fan, where the aesthetics of double digits > all![]()
Their best player tonight.
Also that stat hunting effort at the end today
And you guys wonder why you have these #s to rave about lmao
Westbrook Notches 5th Straight Triple-double, Stops Raptors
https://thesportspost.com/nba-westbr...ouble-raptors/37 points, 13 rebounds and 14 assists later, the Thunder are now 43-29. But that’s not all. While Westbrook has to average 12.2 rebounds the rest of the way to average a triple-double for the second consecutive season, the Thunder are suddenly fourth out west. They hold a two-game advantage over the Jazz, who have won nine in a row themselves.
Key word: Melo. Dude is a huge cancer and loser. OKC would have been better off sticking with just MVPbrook and George.
Melo is legitimately worse than a replacement level player TBH. Can't tell who's the bigger cancer: him or Wiggins
Westbrick now averaging 9.9 rebounds per game.
He would have to average almost 14 boards per game
Would be nice to see the opponents block Chuckbrooks stat padding attempts and box him out on every rebound attempt.
Westbrick needs 41 rebounds and 22 assists in the last 3 games. Doable.
Westbrick needs 16 rebounds in his last game. He will do it because he is a great rebounder.
He should play on Steven Adams' shoulders the whole game tbh
Definitely doable, but he’s going to have to make a real, concerted effort to get to the glass. If it was 7-8 boards, that’s easy for him to get that during the course of the game. 16, he’s going to have to get after it more than normal.
Whoever he’s guarding gon be wide the open all game long with RW anchored in the defensive paint like Bill Russell. If I’m that guy, I don’t care if I’m shooting 25% from three, I’m chucking threes all game long cuz they’ll be crazy open looks. Might even start around 30 feet out just to see how much Russ will feign a contest versus turn around and rim run for boards.
Lol when Russ plays 42 minutes tonight.
no way he doesn't get it. if memphis had a point guard, he'd go off today
Will he pull a 'Ricky Davis' on the offensive end?
