    Spurs aren't out of the woods yet. KD said the same thing just a few months before he bolted. We'll know for sure when we offer him the SuperMax contract extension this summer. But this is a good sign, and it's good to hear directly from the horse's mouth for once.

    What about the timing of this interview right before the GSW game? He's not practicing yet so this seems like a PR move to try to boost teammates (and fans) morale.

    Frankly before this news my mind was wondering if they were out of playoff contention what they would be focusing on the rest of the season. I concluded basically rehabilitating the value of their players under contract and ascertaining the value to them of their different current FA.

    If fans don't believe, tickets don't get sold. If teammates don't believe some can start to check out mentally frankly and not care... specially the guys that are not on contract years.

    If he's serious, all the more reason to tank this year. Get a high draft pick and trade it along with Murray/Mills for Walker.

    Yep...even if they don't trade the pick they can still pick up a quality player with this draft being as good as it is.
