Odds: GS -11
TV: TNT
Stadium: ORACLE Arena
What was originally billed as a home-stretch showdown between two le contenders has now become a made-for-tv remake of David vs. Goliath.
The Warriors continue to dominate teams at a .781 pace, and still are somehow only 2nd in the West.
Meanwhile, it seems like the Spurs medical staff has put in more work than the players this season. Aldridge should suit up tonight but is still playing on a bum ankle, Kawhi's injury mystery is well into its third act, and now Gasol looks to be sidelined for at least a couple of weeks with a shoulder strain. Whatever witch doctor cursed this squad seems bent on squashing any chance the Spurs have to build some chemistry and continuity.
This won't be an easy game by any stretch. , it would be a borderline miracle if the Spurs pull out a win in Oakland. But with only 2.5 games separating the Spurs from playoff purgatory, they are going to have to steal some of these contests down the stretch.
Batten down the hatches, boys and girls. This is gonna be a bumpy one.
Warriors by 60+ tbh.
If Curry, Durant, Klay, and Draymond somehow miss the game, Warriors by 30+ tbh
The team better get their asses lubed cuz the ass ramming will be vicious, tbh.
Odds: GS -11
lol that’s too kind
Again, I do expect the Spurs to show up in the first half. Pau being out hardly seems to matter against GS. LMA being gimpy sucks, but Anderson should play well again. Will also be nice to have Gay back, though he didn't do much against the Warriors in the first game, which sucked because SA may have taken that match had he shown up the way he had been doing in the previous games. It's more interesting to see if Kawhi travels with the team. He was targeting this road trip to return, so him being in Cali instead of rehabbing in Texas would go a long way to confirming if that timetable is still possible.
Clubber Lang lost the fight after that comment.
In the interview yesterday, Kawhi said he wouldn't be on this road trip. So, unless there was a last minute change of plans, he won't be there.
The Wolves play the Celtics tonight so losing tonight’s game isn’t the end all for those looking at playoffs seeds... at least for one night.
blow out. gasol being out may make us slightly more compe ive in this one but GS by 15+.
yeah. the only game that i am really focused on for this road trip is the OKC one.
I'm surprised that the spread is only 11.
Who's ready to watch Brandon Paul sit on the bench for 48 min?
Dubs by 25
Pop throws in towel midway through the 3rd
Forbes/Bertans hit some 3s late in the 4th to keep the deficit below 30
I am. Paul sucks.
well then I think he'll have his revenge today
Spurs players should just come out with the sweat mop and keep the floor clean for the Warriors. More than likely a blowout unless Kawhi suits up.
I do wonder if coach Kerr has caught up to the fact that when Anderson wants to, he can be a pain in the rear end, and will scheme something for him. At this point, I only want to see his spirit not broken. Having a coach scheme to stop what you like to do is something that happens in the playoffs so if he were to encounter some adversity of that kind tonight, I'd just look to see how he handles it.
I am actually looking forward more to see Murray. First bc he didn't play the last game against GSW, but also in their first match, he came from the bench... so I'd like to see what Murray can do both ends and want him to be aggressive regardless of how the game is going. I liked Murray's spirit in the WCF even though it was a losing proposition and he has shown some toughness.
I'd like to see White play, but Pop may have him on a chain in a dungeon somewhere.
Davis is for sure will play with Gasol now out. I enjoyed how he played against them the last game. Hopefully he gets hot.
Aside from them, Rudy Gay really has to get himself going.

To answer your question about Kawhi traveling with the team, in the interview he gave yesterday he said he's not going on this trip with them.

and it has to be said... Paddy has shot and played awful against them for many games now.. it would be nice if he broke that streak of bad games with a good shooting night at least.
