I think they refer to the first technical break through as parabolic skiis? My father said he skied on fence panels. I just rent. Maybe I should think about buying... Sometimes I gotta leave quick and it might be a pain as luggage.
After CB I skied Utah some tree skiing in Deer Valley. Last pair of skis I bought were K2 4s as they were just starting to widen the shovels on the skis. Damn those were some high speed cruisers. They would chatter like a mother er smoking the bumps but would still hold the edge and track.

We're getting into 1984 territory here...FB/social media the all knowing Big Brother cleansing/filtering news and posts, even feeding us feel good stories like kitten memes.
Happy to say I don’t Facebook.
They don't need to feed it. People spend all their money and time seeking it. They just provide it.
Cameras everywhere.
They have caught a whole lotta crooks/thugs/ terrorist cells in the UK with those things. Use of info is important. The NSA has taught us about the lines we must draw.
Yeah, the skis i learned on were stiff as . Long and skinny. First pair I owned were 220cm Head 360s. Broke one going mach 2 when I centered two moguls at steamboat. Broke the metal lamination and it looked like a horseshoe. , that was before ski brakes and I was bouncing down the mountain with broken skis tied to me with ski leashes. It was freaking ugly. Looked like a yard sale as all my goggles gloves poles etc. Were scattered all over the mountain.
Djohn could be back into this thread in a big way.
Oh yeah.
The famous runaway skis if a leash came off.
Having big pieces of fiberglass with some metal dancing all around your head does seem a bit scary.
I guess the boots have gotten better as well. The bindings and such.
Snowboarding looks super difficult. I see people sitting everywhere learning those things.
CA/Lafarge helped Pootin divide UK from europe, brexit
Russians are too ing smart for the West
At least the US will be able to fight back once Russia takes over our Gov't. Feel bad for UK...

Prepare for four things:
1) THE MOTHER OF ALL GOALPOST MOVES.
2) The most bat crazy Hillary baby-eating conspiracy theories to be amplified.
3) Attempted Saturday night massacre.
4) Dennison denial tweets.
Channel 4's reporting on CA is pretty goddam awesome. The undercover bit plus the Chris Wylie whistleblowing should make everyone think twice about the role of social media.
