You're right.
If Utah, Denver, Minny and SA all tie with 36 losses, then the Jazz get the first slot, SA the second and Denver the third. Minny would be left out. I'm running through a six-team scenario to see if there are any real holes.
If Denver wins out (they have 2 games against the Wolves), it means the Wolves also have 36 loses, which would tie them with the Spurs if they win tonight and lose out. Do the Spurs own the tiebreaker with the Wolves?

SA is making the playoffs. There's not way they go 0-fer the rest of the way, as they have a couple cupcake games anyway. The fact that they got some quality wins against playoff teams recently pretty much ended their shot at the lottery, sadly (which is probably where they should be considering how they tanked before).

Yes, they're going to make the playoffs in all likelihood. This is just being persnickety for fun.
So wow, the NBA has completely different tie-break procedures than the NFL. In football, the tie-break resets each time a team gets anointed or eliminated. But in basketball, they take the percentages of the first tie-break and do all the slotting in one pass. This means that Minny being forced into a multi-team tie-break really helps the Spurs, as the Wolves only lost a season series to the Spurs and swept New Orleans, who was the biggest ally to any team trying to knock off SA. With a clearer understanding of the rules, I don't think I can find anything wrong with that tweet.
Clippers' help defense is remarkably ty.
OKC and Portland lose. Nuggets and Jazz still in progress but looking like Denver will probably win. Hopefully Lakers can come back in the 4th against Utab
DeAndre Jordan looks awful without CP3
Do we want the 3 seed?![]()
The Clippers are really bad
Just a few hours I was saying they couldn't lose this gameI said the Blazers would put their bench-lineup against Spurs because they would secure #3 after these two games. How did they lose to the Mavs?

I'd take it. I'd take a decent shot against a hobbled Warriors team in the second round.
Pop's not having any of that 3-0 run .
Looks like the Clippers have no interest in the playoffs. They've already packed it in.
Indeed with the way our boys are rounding into shape.
