You didn’t have to choose the oldest, fattest baseball player. I would guess the vast majority of MLB baseball players couldn’t do that, at least at that height or with any type of aiming accuracy or power. If your point was baseball players can’t do things soccer players can, congratulations?

My guess is you couldn’t find a professional soccer player who could throw a baseball 95 MPH, let alone with accuracy and movement, not even the very best soccer players in the world. In fact, I’d guess most professional soccer players would even struggle to break 60 MPH throwing it as hard as they can. Likewise, they’d look like 4 year old kids swinging the bat trying to hit 95 or a major league breaking ball.

What does that say about their athleticism or hand-eye coordination or arm strength? I don’t know. It means each class of athlete is capable of doing things the other class couldn’t do with anywhere near the same type of proficiency.

    Was that the point?

Indeed, the funny thing about expertise is that it only applies to the thing you're an expert at.

In the same way, you could have a brilliant theoretical physicist who happens to be terrible at chess because he hasn't spent his life training that one skill. He might lose to a child prodigy at chess. This doesn't mean the physicist is a complete moron.

Soccer fans will tell you those don't count as athletic feats because they don't involve skinnyfat twinks jogging around continuously.

I agree bro. A soccer player could never throw a 180 in darts man. Such hand and eye coordination.

Beisbol and Dart is the sport for those kind of things. They all habe the same thing.

IMO Hugo Sanchez still has 3 or 4 of the top 10 bicycle kick goals... including the top one on the list.

Ronaldo's shot just kind of plopped in... some of Sanchez's kicks were met directly at the right height and with enough angular momentum to maximize their velocity.

    look up Señor Gol

or the goals Hugo scored on Lavolpe

lol calling football not athletic, bunch of uneducated farmers tbh

penaldo's bicycle is up there with the best tbh. That being said the best I've ever seen is rivaldo's, it has superior skill in the setup (chest control, marked), superior power, superior range, superior pressure: came at the 90th minute to qualify barcelona in the UCL against a valencia team that would outplay this juventus, against a peak canizares (arguably better than old man buffon), also completed a hat-trick. Smh that was ing magical to see it live talk about a prayer, that's a once in a lifetime years shot.

    Good comparison. Fair.

Just like soccer is like living in a small third world island country and running from one end to another to go play hacky sack with your girlfriend / third cousin.

Run for awhile, kick it, run some more, kick a little more, run back the other way, beat off some s in the outhouse shower, go to bed starving. Same difference.

That was an all time great performance tbh son...

According to some posters here though Rivaldo was nothing but a better version of Giroud
