We'd get poor value for an injured player, people need to know he's 100% or else we get diminished returns
Pau and Mills were bad signings this season. Mills is horrible when he's not hitting like last night. Pau is weak. Tony doesn't look motivated either due to him losing his starting position or because of the whole Kawhi thing. I say the Spurs need to try their best to move Mills and Pau. Same with Kawhi. I honestly don't care if Kawhi stays or gets traded. I was hoping for him to return, but seems like he obviously doesn't want to or "can't" because of "injury return management."
The Kawhi situation has affected the team and the season. Tanking wouldn't have been the best solution. They should've moved Kawhi at the trade deadline. Would have given us a better shot this season to be honest.

pau already looks done and we have to deal with 2 more years of him. its the parker situation all over again
As long as he has his touches, he's good with PATFO, tbh.
thanks PATFO
might as well give him and gay all the touches, they're wasted on everyone else tbh
OKC would still take the Spurs in six, maybe five if that's the first round matchup. This is not a team built to win in the playoffs.
Agreed. OKC is a team thrown together a month before the season and they are still as good or better than us. In the playoffs, the Spurs will get exposed.
FINALLY you and I are on the same page. I've been saying this all season.
It made no sense to say that when Leonard's injury seemed minor.
We'd probably lose even if we had Kawhi. Donavan owns Pop.
the spurs with kawhi would have been top 2 in the west... take away our 4th quarter choke jobs since the all star break and we're comfortably the #3 seed right now.
this team has sorely lacked a closer, and really, any perimeter player than can reliably and consistently create offense. you'd also be replacing anderson, who cant shoot 3's, with kawhi who's been a good 3 point shooter his whole career
Some people act like not having a top 3-5 player in the league for 90% of the season doesn’t matter..like the expectations never changed etc...
Spurs are easily Top 3 in West and arguably Top 5 in the league if healthy..which would’ve made them a “contender” if anyone disagrees with that notion you’re just a hater and a got tbh
And the people who wanted to tank are the same gots who’ve been running their mouth before the season even started..and are the same gots who believe everything the media says and read on the internet..probably voted for Hillary and drank the media kool aid #sheep
The media has never been on the Spurs side going back to 99’..if they can force or control the narrative of a Top 5 player to a big market like LA, Boston, or NY they will. The injury talk gets swept under the rug cause it’s not sexy or dramatic even though if it’s the truth..
never thought this roster could win it all this year even with a healthy kawhi. frontline is a joke, spurs are playing 4 on 5 when tony’s on the court.
hindsight being 20/20 if they knew they would lose both LA games they should have punted and rested Parker and LMA and Rudy.
Problem is they kept getting second wind with all the false reports of Kawhi *maybe* coming back. So they exhausted themselves gunning for just a shot, since if Kawhi came back they would certainly be in the mix. Now they're just exhausted and undermanned.
