Trade Kawhi for an up and coming All Star or Superstar (although not sure if that's out there), and a lottery pick. Try to sign LeBron or other player that can score. Try to get rid of Gasol and Mills' contracts. Sign an athletic big who can defend.
Better fans that appreciate success and the longest playoff streak in modern sports.

This summer could be the craziest summer ever for a Spurs fan. With all the Kawhi drama and the strong possibility of loosing Green and Manu retiring Spurs may be forced to make drastic changes.
1. Release Paul, Forbes, Joffrey
2. Try to keep Green if we can’t bring over Hanga
3. Sign Nikola to replace Joffrey
4. If Manu retires can use White, Hanga, and maybe Hillard
5. Keep either Anderson or Bertans?
6. If Kawhi is traded then who knows which way will go.
7. Try to trade Mills.
Just get NBA-caliber players not G-league bums, tbh.
Green has been doing all of those lol Not much of a creator, but his driving and finishing has improved a ton this year

i think danny's gone, provided he opts out. not sure what his value is to the spurs right now... but if he's looking for something comparable to the 4/40 we have him a few years ago, he's not worth it. he hasn't shot above 38% from 3 since the 14-15 season.
his defensive metrics are still quite good... but he was still an offensive plus when he was a sharpshooter for a team that thrived on pick and rolls. as a mediocre shooter on a team that generates looks from the post (be it lamarcus or kawhi, when healthy), he bogs the offense down.
but if we lose both kyle and green in the same offseason, thats losing 2 very good defensive players

i think his 3pt% is in the teens when he does literally anything between catching and shooting
I kinda miss when he accepted himself as a specialist. He doin too much now.
Sign KCP and get a skinny young 7 footer to teach to block shots. Oh, and keep that Kawhi kid. Could be something special someday.

i dont see a scenario where we're able to dump gasol. its the same thing with all the "trade parker's contract" stuff we'd been hearing the past couple seasons. nobody is taking that on. if both anderson and green leave, we're still going to be cash-strapped and wont be able to pay much for a replacement wing player.
Stop mentioning Hanga. He's old already and sucks ass.
Upgrade at the 2, upgrade at center, get rid of bums like Forbes/Joff/Paul and replace them with actual players with potential, stop playing mummies out of loyalty, try to move Mills/Gasol, get Kawhi back.
Realistic, small ideas would be. If Spurs are going with Murray as PG going forward, which is a worthy gamble, then we really need to upgrade the SG position who is a good shooter and scorer and not a liability on D. Someone like Wil Barton or Wes Matthews or Joe Harris for cheap. I also want to replace Mills for a cheaper and almost as good option like Seth Curry so I can upgrade that SG position.
I would want to re-up Anderson on a long term but cheap deal. Like a 4 year 30-40mil. I would want a decent size big for cheap. Baynes, Noel, Len. I wouldn't mind having Bertans back as long as he gets paid as a 12th man.
Of course, getting something for Gasol who just cannot play against small ball would be divine. Just don't see it though.
