RIP LDN tbh.
what are Tony's numbers tbh? Bryn much better at this point. White too. Dejounte too. Who isn't better?
Him not on the bench as his team claws it's way to the playoffs, it sure looks pretty bad.
But his elite defense.....
Does Parker even have more than 34 points in the last ten games combined?
True but they responded. Part of the reason for why was Rudy Gay. He went from 7 mins in the first half to 14min in second half.
So my question is whats going through pops brain that he keeps limiting Rudy. Its the healthiest hes looked all season. potentially hes the spurs second best scoring option but at times pop just seems to forget he exists.
MANU at 40 still doing what he does best. Close games
You ain't better than anybody when you refuse to play.
Think so long as he's in the team Pop won't look for guard talent and the team has needed better guards for years. It required 27 minutes of Manu. He can't do this every night anymore and it's too much to expect him to. I am encouraged in White at least, and like Dejounte enough... not sure they can pull off what Manu just did, he's special... but it won't last forever and it might be over when you least expected bc have grown accustomed to him doing another season. I took him for granted at times... but have realized how much he will be missed. (like Tim still is to this day).
So now that we won do we want Portland or Denver to win?
if Tony wasn't playing White would be... so not better than that.
Much needed win. The vets(manu and gay) and great adjustments by Pop at the end of the game sealed it.
Denver only because Portland has a couple of players that can average 35 for a series which would be annoying. I feel better trying to limit Nurkic and Milsap instead of Lillard and McCollum.
edit:Also watch Napier, Turner or Aminu have a flukey series if they played the Spurs.
edit again:I misread your question, my bad. D’oh
Spurs in, Mavs and Lakers out.
Denver
Thought it wasn't a great idea to bench Kyle for him to start the game but I guess Pop had to see whatever he wanted to see in an elimination game and he saw it. I guess...
Nice comeback..Sacramento is already locked into their draft spot, too, so wasn't even tanking
This is what the Spurs look like when Aldridge struggles, it's no secret..
Parker and Pau doing what we expect, Green's confidence is completely gone and Murray's struggles will be ignored on this forum![]()
Murray was pretty awful on both ends. Pop even put him in for a bit in the second half only to immediately pull him when Fox lost him on a screen and nailed a three. The fact Mills played 37 mins says enough.
Denver up 4 with 30 seconds left.
Can't see the Spurs winning that final game at NO, but if they do and Portland loses out they can get the fourth seed.
