GOP strategist Rick Wilson drops hammer on Trump: Mueller may have gotten those ‘long-sought tax returns’ from Cohen

the GOP consultant said Cohen wasn’t so much an attorney as a “bag-walking, -swinging swagger-monkey wannabe thug attorney and consigliere for Donald Trump’s far-flung penile enterprises.”

Wilson said Cohen believed attorney-client privilege would protect him from consequences in the Stormy Daniels case, but “he forgot he had a fool for a client. Trump couldn’t shut his mouth on Air Force One last week.”

The president blurted out to reporters Thursday that he knew nothing about the non-disclosure agreement, which strengthens claims by the porn star’s attorney that Daniels entered into the hush agreement with Trump under false pretenses — and opened up Cohen to potential charges.

“If Cohen had a lump of coal in his ass the moment those search warrants arrived, he could have popped out a diamond,” Wilson said.

“He realizes how deep this hole can become if he doesn’t roll over.

He doesn’t have the resources to defend himself,

and Trump isn’t exactly known for paying his bills in the first place.

Cohen is scared, and he’s not alone.”

Wilson said the raid must “strike absolute terror” into Trump because it could expose his most closely held secrets to public scrutiny.

“Trump must know this may be one of the most dangerous moments in his entire life, not just his presidency,”

    Wilson said.

“The likelihood is that Mueller and the FBI are now in possession of the Black Books of Trump,

NDAs from enough of Trump’s various affairs,

that you can staff a 12-pole strip club with plenty of girls left for the champagne rooms.”

“It’s only speculation at this point, but

it’s quite likely the Cohen was the keeper of many of Trump’s
    lending do ents,
    contracts,
    business arrangements, and
the Kryptonite of Trump’s fragile self-worth:
the long-sought tax returns,” he added.

“Cohen was one of Trump’s most vulnerable and dangerous keepers of secrets,” he said.

“If Trump had a brain, he would have been terrified this moment would come.

Cohen simply lived in a state of idiot hubris that it wouldn’t.”

Maybe you'd like to tell me more about this:
    campaign finance law circle jerk
2020 election over with by the time the FEC would even rule.
I appreciate your trying to change the subject to Clinton but since you brought up Cohen's possible charges, when do you think we would get a ruling on bank fraud and wire fraud for him?
    Well?

And why are you moving the goalpost?

I stated facts. This "dead end investigation" has already produced more guilty pleas and indictments than you can count.

I'm simply playing your game in asking that.

Seems like accusing someone else of melting down is an awful convenient excuse to not talk about all your failed talking points.

Failure, after failure, after failure, with no introspection as to why these things are failing you.

"An ‘echo chamber’ is a social structure from which other relevant voices have been actively discredited. Where an epistemic bubble merely omits contrary views, an echo chamber brings its members to actively distrust outsiders. In their book Echo Chamber: Rush Limbaugh and the Conservative Media Establishment (2010), Kathleen Hall Jamieson and Frank Cappella offer a groundbreaking analysis of the phenomenon. For them, an echo chamber is something like a cult. A cult isolates its members by actively alienating them from any outside sources. Those outside are actively labelled as malignant and untrustworthy. A cult member’s trust is narrowed, aimed with laser-like focus on certain insider voices.

In epistemic bubbles, other voices are not heard; in echo chambers, other voices are actively undermined."

You are in an echo chamber. Your echo chamber has made you distrustful of those outside it, and causes you to fail at evaluating reality itself.

Top Senate Republicans: Trump shouldn't fire Mueller but we won't do anything to stop him

    It’ll be suicide!

    There’ll be serious repercussions!

But Republicans won’t get specific about what those repercussions will be, and

they won’t take a simple action—

voting through a bill that already exists to prevent Trump from unilaterally firing Mueller for an illegitimate reason—

to avoid having to go through with those repercussions.

Possibly because they know they will never go through with it no matter what Trump does.

    https://www.dailykos.com/stories/201...tail=emaildkre

Repugs will on their place in history if Trash fires the DoJ/Mueller and then don't convict him.

But they don't care about their place in history, care only about serving their paymaster oligarchy.

Republicans have given Trump their implicit permission to fire Mueller, because it's what they want

having reached a point where the rule of law is making one last effort to check the actions of that party and that candidate, the United States isn’t on the brink of a cons utional crisis. It’s nearing the end.

Now that Trump has confirmed he is seriously considering some sort of action against Mueller, Republicans will be asked once again if they will act to protect his investigation. …

Republicans are being asked to take steps in advance to forestall this possibility before it actually becomes a reality.

And they don’t want to do this.

What’s more, with very few exceptions, most have refrained from forcefully spelling out what even the theoretical consequences would be for Trump (such as impeachment hearings) if he did act.

Now Trump has explicitly confirmed that he might do just that.

The Cons ution fully acknowledges and plans for the idea that the nation might be subject to incompetent or malign leadership.

It was obvious to everyone signing at the beginning that they were not blessed by an overabundance of selfless saints.

What the Cons ution didn’t plan for was a 40-year siege:

    a long-term plan

to make competent government into the enemy,

remove all constraints of tradition or bylaw, and

    replace representatives of regional citizens

    with an ALEC-ized monopoly,

all marching to the same script.

If Trump acts to remove special counsel Robert Mueller,

or Mueller issues a report and it’s smothered behind closed doors,

that’s not the beginning of a crisis.

    That’s the finish line.

    https://www.dailykos.com/stories/201...tail=emaildkre

"a long term plan" is the 45-year-old Vast Right Wing Conspiracy, the oligarchy's strategy to lobotomize, castrate, and operate govt directly so that it serves only the oligarchy, not the common good.

The oligarchy has won, America is ed and un able.

Trash is showing the Repugs that he and Repugs can get away with literally anything, and not pay the consequences, punishment from anyone or anything.

No, he's melting down because he doesn't want to discuss his failed talking point and is trying to change the subject.

Same answer as the last time you asked it and the time before that. The investigation is ongoing and there's no grocer or gun forum that can stop it.

It's your stalling and deflection tactic. It's your goalpost move. It's your coping mechanism.

I asked my question well before that.

In your hypothetical, when would Cohen possibly be indicted on these possible charges?
Manafort was indicted a little over 3 months after his raid.

    Let's give Cohen five.

I guess your goalpost is now moved to saying a pending trial of Cohen for fraud is good news for Republicans in November.

In fact, the raid itself is good news in your opinion because somehow Clinton.

    Right?

“And I think that maybe Mueller coming to a dead end as far as collusion of Trump with Russia in this election — and it looks like a dead end — maybe Mueller would appreciate being fired so he would have an excuse for getting out of it, and the Democrats would have a good issue in this upcoming election,” Grassley said.
