What 'issue'? This is the first I hear of it... I translate pretty much every Manu interview, he always speaks highly of Kawhi.

Dumbass. Sevening isn’t a doctor, he’s the ing athletic trainer. He patches owies during the game, and might tell the med staff “he’s favoring his leg” or arm, or can’t wipe his ass. He has nothing to do with medical decisions.

It's possible that neither side wants this to come out, and that's why they are denying press access. The Spurs probably know Kawhi's trade stock will only fall the more information the public gets, and Kawhi potential for a new deal with another club will fall along with it. Even with this mystery, if Kawhi checks out decently on a physical, he's going to command a good return in the draft.

Imagine if they have to consult his NYC doctors for that physical... I don't think much discussion about the injury benefits either party... make it about anything else... what was it SJAX said? Tony? yea make it about that.

I tend to think if there is a rift it definitely involves the medical team like Nono above said... I have said all along he's injured, if he really is damaged goods it doesn't benefit Kiwi for much to come out about him. He's obviously evading the media. If he showed up to cheer teammates for the playoffs to satisfy fans and for appearances sake he will be a distraction and be pestered. AS it is the teammates are already getting pestered.

All along I have believed he won't be traded... but if I were to believe that then things like BillMc has speculated in terms of team asking him to stay away since he has one foot out the door make sense.
