Has nothing to do with teammates, your reading comprehension sucks too. Read my post again and come back with a coherent answer.
No, you aren't - a lot of people bought into the media overhyping Parker/Manu's comments. But obviously you are blind to any reason about the Kawhi situation, if you believe that Parker/Manu have had a brewing animosity toward Kawhi for years. That's ridiculous.
The is YOU doing back?
They were complaining that Kawhi wasn't there -- not saying they didn't want him there.
It's a bit like blaming an abandoned mom for not wanting dad around.
Still hoping the Spurs trade for Tyson Chandler. That was his shtick right? It's been a while.![]()
I just said Parker/Manu didnt see Kawhi as MVP candidate/top player...
If both players think he's expendable -in a sense they trust in Pop finding a good/better replacement- this could be a good reason for saying what they said.
Actually, hoping PATFO re-sign Pau/Fatty like Chinook wanted....he also said Murray will never be a starter in the league last year.(Pretty sure he's going to demand that Danny get a 4yr/80mill contract this summer)
Imagine if PATFO had settled for PJ Tucker for the exception & traded for Rubio like I had suggested instead of s ing 98mill on paper weight.![]()

How "this issue isn't new" becomes "brewing animosity toward him FOR YEARS"..
I was talking about Parker/Manu's perception of him as player, that they didn't see him as MVP candidate, as that type of player.
Still ridiculous.
Neither player expressed such, ever. They did say the exact opposite (I can quote). That's why I'm saying this is the first I heard of it.
But even taking you at face value, if that were to be true and Kawhi was aware of it, what was he waiting for? He could've moved on last summer, and stop with the injury charade (because the whole injury thing would be a charade right? The whole thing was Manu/Parker hate?).
This is why none of that makes sense. You should go back to the drawing board and re-asses, IMO.
Of course they didn't see Kawhi as an MVP candidate for most of his time in SA since he didn't play at an MVP level until last year. So are you saying that Kawhi is pissed off because Manu and Tony have never praised him and worshiped him. Sounds pretty stupid to me.
Where I said it was about minutes and points? I said they didnt see as MVP candidate...If they don't value him as one, they could think the team will find a good replacement for him in offseason.
Also, if they think that way I would understand why they talked about him in public.
Obviously YGWHI is just making up reasons for the rift without any basis. That's understandable because the whole situation is a mystery, so a super Kawhi fan is grasping for reasons how/why this situation happened. Same thing is happening on the other side - people fabricate that Kawhi is just being money-hungry, he's just a wuss, etc. No one knows the truth, except Kawhi and the Spurs... actually maybe just Kawhi.
Can't wait til we trade this ing beta .
Even if we can only get 75 cents on the dollar and send him somewhere he doesnt want to go just to spite him.
this .
Your nitpicking media headlines that fit your liking now. All the media saying Kawhi is sitting out is false but media saying Tony was bashing Kawhi is true? I saw the interview, maybe you should try putting yourself in TP's shoes. Why should everyone defend him so much when he rarely talks to the team and he stays in NY with no word on when he will be back. They genuinely wanted to know instead of hearing it from the media.
Pretty much, tbh... that's basically the whole story this summer... maybe Kahwi will have a heart to heart with Pop and move on, who knows?
The whole situation is surreal, as as you said, it's not really (just) the Spurs... Pop has been, should I say, more than his usual vocal self about 'Kawhi and his group'... but I don't know that bridges have been burned.
Are you ing re ed??????? You don't remember after the Houston game last year when Kawhi won it with a 3 and the block on Harden, then after the game Manu said he was in AWE of Kawhi's talent when someone asked him about his reaction on the bench while watching it happen?
You said Manu and Tony had issues with Kawhi for a while. When you say someone has issues with somebody that means there is conflict and some personal type of beef going on. I'm old school I grew up during the 90's so when you say a teammate has issues with another I tend to believe its conflict like Robinson-Rodman,ZO-Larry Johnson, Kobe-Shaq. All those guys I listed had legit beefs that's what it seems like you were applying with Kawhi-Manu/Tony. Anyways how does Kawhi know they don't value him? Have they straight up told Kawhi to his face in the past that they didn't think he was that good of player? If they haven't said or done anything to him in the past you really don't have a legit argument when it comes to this claim.
Also your claim of them not seeing him as an MVP candidate based on them allegedly not commenting on him being an MVP candidate last year is re ed. I'm sure that is also a lie you have made up but I'm not going to waste my time looking up for quotes from last year. Anyways when teammates usually comment on their teammate potentially winning the MVP its usually comes from a question from the media where they will say "Hey Chris Paul do you believe Harden should get the MVP?. Hard for me to believe the media last year never asked Manu or Tony about Kawhi being an MVP candidate.
He was MVP runner-up in 2016 too. Anyway, I'm not saying he's pissed I said how Parker/Manu see him as player and the chance to trade him for good pieces would be the reason why they said what they said..Otherwise, they wouldn't have said anything
Ummm ok... no need to be a prick.
Point is, you don’t extend loyalty to the medical staff over an MVP-caliber, all-world player like Kawhi. If the real rift is between the Kawhi and the medical staff the business choice is obvious.
There is something going on. Your right everybody is speculating but it doesn't look good when you look at all the scenarios.
The entire situation is unfortunate. Both sides have legit beefs.
The Spurs have been super patient and handled it, not perfectly, but well considering the cir stances.
Kawhi, who was given the keys to the franchise, has not handled it as well as a player in that role. He’s gone from quiet guy, to absolute recluse. You’re a professional athlete getting paid millions of dollars. You can’t go into hiding as the franchise player because you feel awkward socially. If it that hard and you’re that uncomfortable in that role, then you’re in the wrong business.
Because it doesn't matter what a player is doing or not, teammates don't criticize him in public.
C's lost Hayward and Irving while Smart missed playoffs for a non-basketball injury. Did you hear teammates throwing him under the bus for his unprofessional behavior?
