We go into next season with a promising second-year guard that can pass and shoot and a couple of young draftees with potential. We waited on Kawhi. We can wait on the next guy/guys.

I've never heard of that type of scenario, so I would doubt it. Kawhi's value is probably plummeting but if Boston really wants him, Tatum, Memphis 2019 and Sacramento's pick has to be the deal. Other teams would be willing to risk it to take a chance on him.

I don't know one way or the other. I think the 2005 era CBA is the last one I knew very well.
