Looking more and more like the end of an era not just for the Spurs, but the entire NBA. Mount Tim-more.

He could honestly still be playing if his other knee didn't blow out as well.

A friend of mine whose a knicks fan sent me this clip a day after Duncan retired. He told me to subs ute Duncan for Batman and NBA for World in the clip to see how he felt about Duncan retiring. It definitely resonated with me what a loss of Duncan was for the league after I watched the clip.

True. Since he retired I have missed and appreciated him more than ever and I only got to see him in his twilight. Some say the Spurs real championship possibilities went out the door with him and I am starting to believe it. I have gotten used to Lamarcus and Pau (though Pau specially that first season was really hard to come to terms with since Timmy on defense and rim protection was special...). Anyways I have missed him.

Greatest & most positive leader of all time tbh. A real encouraging leader who supported everyone, every player loved playing with him & proved you don't have to berate your teammates to be one of the greatest & most compe ive players ever

I'll do what I can to help fill in the gaps for you since I watched his entire college and NBA careers from start to finish.

Greatest head coach and front office of all time. So many people would be homeless drunks in Guadalupe street spewing their liberal agenda had this GOAT not fallen in their laps....

TD retiring too early still makes me angrier than anything Kawhi and his uncle are doing.

Just thinking back, Timmy deserved that 2014 FMVP, imo. Leonard had a couple of great games, but he also had a couple of stinkers in that series. Duncan was a rock.

That would've been awesome. He would've been the only player ever to win FMVP 15 years apart.

He should've won it in 2013, too, if his coach and teammates hadn't let him down.

Just like in 2013 (Spurs MVP), 2007 (MVP of the entire Playoffs), 2006 (MVP of the playoffs) and 2014 (Spurs MVP), TD was the Spurs' best overall player throughout the entire 2014 playoffs. Kawhi may not have even been the second best player throughout the 2014 playoffs. I'd say Manu may have just edged him out for that too. Kawhi did have a great finals, though. Anyway, I still think finals MVP is stupid. It should be for the whole playoffs.

Just to reply to the post above, Tim was a lock for 2013 finals MVP had his teammates not let him down while he had to sit there and watch for those finals 27 seconds.

Hmm, I'm starting to think if the Spurs were to keep Kawhi and bring back Tim, Tim might be the only one that can repair the relationship on a day by day basis.

Dude don't be crazy. I love Tim he was my childhood idol going back to when he played at WF but not even Tim could fix this crap. Kawhi has been completely mind ed by his uncle.

Yeah, you're probably right. I will tell you, though, I wouldn't mind Tim back. Not to play big minutes or anything, but to bring some leadership and stability back to the club that is sorely lacking in those areas right now. It'd be great having him on the bench to help all the young guys out and steer them in the right direction. If he could still play, or if he's knee's gotten better, then that would be a bonus. I'm pretty sure he's still been working out, probably MMA training mostly, so not sure if that would help on the basketball court.
