Not hugely familiar with his work, so no real opinion. Either the work/analysis is decent, or its not.

Education generally increases the quality of such work, regardless of whether I may agree with the conclusions or not. Maddow's education was useful information in pointing out that Maddow should probably not be dismissed out of hand.
