Well, the rumour is that Kawhi is neither injured nor scared to play because of it. He is just ting because he wants out.

And in any case, if teams are scared of Kawhi status, the Spurs would be better off starting the season with Kawhi on the roster and showcasing him on the floor than trading him for less value on the offseason.

Spurs are on the driver's seat on this, they don't need to hurry .

Yep, the last time we saw him play. Unless he has a Derrick Rose type (highly unlikely) he will get there again and probably be even better since he's only un his mid 20's.
