oh you mean his own head coach is partial to him? please tell me you're trolling.

Anthony Davis has ascended past Kawhi at his best. Kawhi is shooting for #4 at best when he returns.
Find me another instance in which Popovich made such a bold statement about any other of his players. He said it because he felt it. And truth be told, he might have been right. Kawhi is that good.
Meanwhile, let's see what people are saying about Kawhi in April 2018:
Yeah, I can see teams lining up to gut their rosters amd assets for that guy.
Epic closeout by Manu. He knew that could have been his final game in San Antonio.
Obviously Kawhi has moved down the player rankings - that tends to happen when you don't play for a year. But he definitely would have been a top 3 player this season if healthy, given his trajectory over the previous five.
Bigmen will never be as important as perimeter players in today's NBA.
And in any case, what's the matter if he's top 3 or just top 5?The case still remains that he is one of the few trully elite players in the league. He's a Lebron, Durant, Curry tier player. Only younger.
It just takes a few games of people seeing Kawhi back in action to watch all that bull talk dissapear.
it doesn't take a genius to know that taking Tim Duncan out for Boris Diaw at the end of a game to clinch the Finals is a bad idea. "greatest basketball mind"
Is Kawhi going to stop "rehabbing in New York" and suit up for Game 5 or something?
if it's no big deal, then just say here that he isn't top 3
Nope, but if he really wants to get traded he will play next season to showcase his talents.
Life Plan For The Greatest Basketball Minds
1. Get a top 10 all time player and greatest power forward ever
2. Win les with him
3. Don't win without him
4. Drink a lot of wine
My latest top 10 rank.
Sometimes I have him top 3, sometimes 4th. Sometimes I even think he might he the best of all. One thing is for sure, he's on that first elite tier. Nobody is way and ahead better than him.
Doesn't sound like either side wants him back in San Antonio next year, so unless he's going to pull a Willis Reed in Game 5, teams aren't going to get to see him healthy and in action before trading for him. You might want to lower your expectations.
That 14 run was a masterpiece though,
If the Spurs don't get what they want, they will not trade him in the offseason. If Kawhi wants to get traded, he will have to play at his fullest so that teams make offers that the Spurs accept.
Pop and Porker should have thought of that before they threw Kawhi under the bus to the media, tbh.
Kawhi value has tanked bigtime. An injury-prone autistic mute who quit on the most respected organisation in the NBA..
not sure what Daf is arguing
Boston would probably think twice before trading Tatum for him straight up let alone surrendering other assets. Spurs would be lucky to get Jaylen Brown in the package..Dude has been killing in it these playoffs..
no doubt he was pre injury ...but i wouldnt trade simmons, ant davis, durant, lebron, Harden or Russ for him straight up until he proves he is top 3 again ...
That would change after one game of seeing Kawhi back in action. Spurs would be dumb to accept any ty deal in the offseason, and as much as PATFO gets, I doubt they would be dumb enough to sell low on a 25 yo superstar.
Thinking you know more than Pop![]()
Why would you want the all time playoff rebound leader and the highest ranked defensive player since Bill Russel to play in the most important defensive possession of his career .
happens, they came back and won it the next year
Bosh was lined up as Center. It was the right move not to have Duncan in there
