There are several ways to fame and fortune in the NBA. Russ took the only way he could, self promotion at the cost of team success. He was even able to get his teammates to go along with it. He's a gimmick, a good player but a gimmick. He'll be remembered as someone who was a "fierce compe or" just because he sweats a lot and has that fake ass Kendrick Perkins scowl. He might one day get a ring, but it won't be until he's Dallas Mavericks level J-Kidd as a PG.
There's never been a more obvious stat padder to fool the media than RW, and that media loved every bit of it and knew all along it was a gimmick, but hey... what else is there besides the 8 year run of Lebron, the 2nd place KD and his antics of joining the enemy, and Kawhi Leonard who doesn't speak publicly?
