You can tell who doesn't watch games in here

His d isn't invaluable, and no, playing with Ben Simmons or Lebron won't help this lazy got hit the open shots that he was missing and passing up here. His shot is gone.

Ive never seen a more protected Spur. It's pathetic.

LDN has been an invaluable member of the Spurs and we should be proud to have had him on the team. But he no longer fits with what the team needs moving forward, as a starter at least. So, unless he's willing to come off the bench and be a defensive specialist, he better fits in with a team that is bleeding for some defense in the backcourt.

Good news. If he was hitting like he use to, i'd be worried but right now Murray is a better shooter and the kid uses one hand..

One of my fave Spurs ever. Whatever happens, I think I'll be fine with it. Either he:

    1. Opts in and we get contract year LDN
    2. Opts out to secure a cheaper but longer contract with the team
    3. Opts out and moves on to another team

Something happened to his legs a few years ago. Look at the fluidity in his shot between then and now.

Many shots that had some late contests there, today he would hesitate with a pump fake put the ball down and do something else. Sometimes him putting the ball down ended in a good shot or a good pass to someone else... but it’s obvious that him trying to be more dynamic broke his shot. He used to always want to shoot it. Now he hesitates, wants to drive by people... etc.

Interesting you said that. Listened to a bit of a Ray Allen interview the other day, he mentioned the thing he worked on the most was his legs... it was the most important part of his jump shot.

Yes, but damn, if he could have kept it going just a couple more years, he would have been an all-timer with the club. Jersey retired and everything. Maybe Drom John can give us a fuller breakdown, but Danny places well on a number of team leaderboards. Had he kept it going, he would have been much higher though.

The Lakers didn't raise Rick Fox's jersey. Let's raise our standards. God damn. Embarrassing....

This is what comes of an inflated cap. $10M isn't all that much more than the MLE, which was $8.4M this past season.

As always, thanks, Drom. Little surprised to see Danny only seventh in blocks. Didn't think anyone besides Dave and Tim would be above him. Had he had another couple 2014-2015s in him, he'd be top-10 in at least a couple more things. Too bad.

If DG had a good series, the Spurs would be still playing right now and we wouldn't have this conversation

I wish him the best, and for the sake of continuity, I want to see him back, but I wouldn't be too hurt to see him go.
Couldn't make a three pointer to save his life in this series with a couple rare exceptions tbqh

His D is invaluable but his shot is beyond broke.
3 and D without the 3 isn't really workable unless you have offense elsewhere, which the Spurs really don't outside of LMA and Kawhi (if he's playing). With Kawhi healthy, Danny is a bigger piece to the puzzle since he can get open looks and his transition defense compliments Kawhi's man on man.

That's opposite of normal. Young players drive until they can't, then they settle for jumpers in their later years.

This must be a product of coaching. "Stop being a one-trick pony, Danny. Expand your game."
