I lobby for a living. Working with communications agencies to place stories and create buzz is an essential tool. All this , including Woj’s “hot takes” (talk about a guy whose fallen off after the move to ESPN) is part of a campaign to create the appearance of discord. Question is whose paying?
Magic Johnson. Not joking. He needs Kawhi. Wouldn’t be surprised if he’s greesing Kawhi’s uncle on the side.

The Spurs may be sold, but they won't be moved. The contract that holds them in place till 2032 will not be so easily broken by throwing money at it. The Spurs are successful and profitable unlike the Supersonics. The NBA would lose a huge Hispanic market that extends all the way to central and South America.

I heard Austin Rivers is buying the Spurs. He already owns Porker, he might as well own the rest of the team too.

As posted, the Spurs have a nonrelocation until 2032. The county just paid over 100 million for renovations to the att center for the spurs. As bad as county and city leadership in San Antonio can be, I doubt they would approve renovations for over 100 million and let there be a loophole allowing the Spurs to move three years later.

You don't move one of the premiere organizations in the league after one bad season....especially if that "bad" season is one in which the team won 47 games and made the playoffs without their superstar.

    Bunch of gulli-billies around here.

Doubt this is happening. At most, maybe the Holts sale there portion of the spurs. But my understanding is that the Spurs are owned by several investors. Holts are the largest? investor or basically speak for the leadership group.

There definitely is some organization.crew with an axe to grind cause all these stories and leaks are orchestrated
Never has any BS like this surrounded the Spurs

If I was PATFO I'd trade Leonard to the worst damn Eastern Conference team possible.
Screw whatever they can offer just ship him and his crew to the NBA equivalent of Siberia(Hornets,Nets?)
Just to send a message to his uncle/crew a final FU to the cornrow crybaby

I thought about sending him to the Hornets the other day. I live in Charlotte and know first hand how ruthless of a person Michael Jordan can be. I would love to see Jordan tear Kawhi and his uncle to shreds when Kawhi decides not to play a game.

Uncle: We'll pull him at the end of the year.
MJ: I'll pull his Jordan Brand deal, and he'll never work for Nike again.
Uncle: Where do we sign for this extension?

Oh I know as well,I was in a high end DC restaurant in Georgetown(back in his Wizards days) and witnessed MJ and his posse hitting on this woman who had a date
They were beyond rude and disrespectful when she and her date told them off in a polite manner,MJ and his crew actually had to be escorted out out of the restaurant by male staffers because they wouldn't behave/leave.

I won't even go into how many people he ed over when he had his short lived Jordans high end steak house in the Reagan building in DC
They left a trail of unpaid debts and ed over all their employees

Growing up in NC I saw him twice as a teenager during the late 90's. The first time I had met him was the summer of '98 it was me and a bunch of other kids who tried to get his autograph at a celebrity golf tournament. MJ looks at us and starts laughing right at us in our faces while we try to get his autograph. What's even worse he would laugh at some of these kids while they were crying. MJ would even taunt some of the kids by saying he would sign their autographs in a few minutes after he putts but after the putt would then say he changed his mind and was not going to sign their autographs. If they had smart phones back then MJ would have received a lot of hate.

Several years ago I was playing a middle age guy in a game of 1 on 1 in basketball. After I was done playing him this guy told me that he had lived in Chicago through out his whole entire 20's during the 90's. He said that one time he was in a bar and witnessed a guy nervously propose to his girlfriend. The girlfriend was a hot blonde who was a prefect 10. The girlfriend accepts the proposal and everybody in the bar celebrates. Michael Jordan also happens to be in the bar while this proposal happened. Jordan has his body guard come up to the blonde and have him ask her if she wants to hang out with Jordan. The blonde accepts Jordan's offer and ends up giving her engagement ring back to her boyfriend. I don't know if the story is true but I believed the guy who told me it based off my experience with MJ and several other people I know who have encountered him.

City size matters little when compared to market size.... Might be 7th largest, but we are like 30s or 40s for market size.

24th actually. And climbing. Should be a top 20 metro area in a decade. And if the area ever gains enough connective data to merge the Austin and SA metros as one large CSA, then it'll be well inside top 10.

    spurs would thrive elsewhere financially.
