I don't know if this could help Texas down the road, but I read that Ohio State is moving on from QB Grant Gunnell and recruiting other 2019 QBs.
Gunnell plays 7-on-7 with WR Garrett Wilson and WR Elijah Higgins.
Inside Texas reporting the chances of DT Chris Nelson returning for his senior year are much better than when last season ended.
He will graduate this week and is "excited" about what the DL could do this year.
Per 24/7, 2020 CB Dwight McGlothern of New Caney didn't make it to Austin this weekend.

Baylor picked up three in-state kids this weekend.

Who leads for Gunnell? I read the Aggies 247 a couple of weeks ago and they still think that they have a chance. So I am guessing that LSU, Aggy, and Ok St are his teams to beat?
Some notes from the official visit weekend (24/7)...
-UT hit a "grand slam" with DT DeMarvin Leal of Converse Judson with everything from the JMBLYA music festival to hanging out at the lake. He also spent a lot of time with S Caden Sterns since the families know each other and they played in the same district for years. Leal's parents are sold if he does want to flip to UT down the line, but it's obviously his decision and the UT staff will continue to recruit him as a priority prospect. Coach Washington and Carrington will have the lead.
-Texas remains in the lead for LB Makiya Tongue of Baton Rouge, LA. He was hosted by WR Jordan Pouncey and spent a lot of time with Coach Mehringer since that's the position he'd like to begin his college career.
-TE Brayden Liebrock of Chandler, AZ also enjoyed his time on campus. He plans on making a decision this month and Arizona State is supposedly the biggest compe ion. He took an official visit there the weekend before and has family ties to the program.
It's been all over the place, so I wouldn't be comfortable saying a certain school leads.
OK State may have a better shot than most think if he and his father are pushing to start as a freshman.
We're in the middle.

What a tease for another possible grad transfer.
S Chris Adimora of Lakewood, CA told Rivals that he's planning on taking official visits to Boise State, Oregon and Texas.
He mentioned Alabama was a big offer for him, but it's to be determined if he'll be take for them since they have 250+ offers out.
He also said he thinks he'll be leaving California for college.
I forgot to mention Arizona earlier because of Sumlin and Mazzone.
And I just read a rumor that Houston St. Pius X's head coach resigned today and may be headed to Arizona.
The lsu one is non-compliant
Things that make you go hmmmm....
USC and Texas are his final 2 schools.
When is he making his final decision?
Not soon.
Inside Texas is saying his current plans include an official visit to USC on May 18th, and then a Texas official visit on June 1st.
He'll then return to Austin for the USC game in September.
He met with the Shipley brothers when he was on campus last time and thinks wearing #8 is a great idea.
