This is a great opportunity for an excellent coach and a loss that will be felt by the Spurs. Not sure if people realize that Borrego is the one who contributed greatly with the schemes to stop Houston and Golden St.. The guy worked his way up from Assistant Video Coordinator in 2003 with the Spurs to Head Coach of the Hornets 15 years later. How awesome is that? I hope Charlotte gives him the support required to be successful.
He will get consideration for CotY next year and be fired in 3 years.
