So question. Weren’t we told that the reason why Kawhi could not be around the team and support them was because his rehab was so critical that he had to be in NY since that is where his doctors were?

If that is the case, then how come right after the season, he was able to go to SA and now to Cali? Did his medical team clear him and he’s back to full health? Is he all of the sudden able to rehab on his own away from his doctors unlike during the playoffs where we were told that was not possible?

You could construct a scenario where he was furiously rehabbing to get back for the playoffs, and the Spurs were eliminated only a week or two before the "groupies" cleared him. You could also construct a scenario where it was a BS excuse to publicly mask a holdout. And now that the season is over there is no reason to maintain the facade.
