it very important for a specific conservative faction to sustain the mythology that the greatest threat to the United States are people who are different from them, especially people of color, immigrants and members of certain religions. So in order to preserve this myth they have to support any narrative which creates external influences: mental disease, stress, political influences from the left (so that the person is essentially a non-white white), etc.

What does that say about blacks that they cannot even form their own hate group?

The FBI arrested and jailed this man for anti-cop statements, and that’s *with* our country having the strong free speech protections it does. So by all means yes, let’s give the government more power to decide what speech is hateful and ripe to prosecute.
Be careful what you wish for. This case is what hate speech prosecution will look like.

nope, he's black. NRA and members at least predominantly racist.

The NRA spiel for guns for "home defense" is to shoot the invading, raping-your-white-wimmen black hordes.

no need for it really. the FBI wrecked his life -- for some social media posts it didn't like, and attending a rally in Austin, TX where mean things were said about LE.

prosecuting political speech as domestic terrorism is chilling, but I guess that's the point.
