Do you know how many times I thought about this today watching this game? before Kawhi went down weren't the Spurs up like 20 points or so? can't remember exactly
Spurs knew how to slow down the game against the Warriors. Aldridge and Kawhi in that game was getting whatever they wanted in the post plus the Warriors couldn't double either which caused their defense to buckle. Also the Spurs were using their height to crash the offensive boards. You can't beat the Warriors by trying to outscore them.

It's been a great postseason for betting tbh, pretty much zero surprises.

Agreed. Lost of 4-0s and 4-1s... it was depressing last week going without a game for like 4 days since no 6s and 7s

Crazy that Klay Thompson is EASILY better than Reggie Miller(one of Jordan's rivals), yet he's the 3rd best player on this Warriors team..doesn't make sense how this team exists
    You’re right tbh...

It looked to me the Rockets were trying to slow down the game a lot today - I don't think their ISO style of play helps them here. How many 24 secs violations did they have today? like 5? too many

I hate both of these teams, but it was fun watching Houston get exposed.
Same. Even though I want GS to lose the series, I was hoping they'd win game 1 just to shut up the idiots who thought Houston was a better team (or even on the same level as GS).

Who plays the Dubs better than the Spurs? I'm not saying they would've won but they had the best shot tbh

Rox can't slow the game down. You need post up players to be able to slow down the game which the Spurs had in Kawhi and LMA.

It's telling that a player who uses the Russell Westbrook approach will win the MVP again. Basically all iso ball, assists are lobs to Capella. No ball movement, dribble dribble dribble... here's your MVP. Meanwhile you have teams moving the ball and moving without the ball, and a player like Lebron who is the real MVP.

MVP is a consolation prize these days. Players get it for not getting it last year.

Yup, up 21 iirc, they probably don't win the series but they definitely had the best shot imo

    Thompson > Miller?
Not so sure about that. I'd like to see Thompson outside of the cozy confines of the superteam.
Not really a fan of Miller, but he did carry his team pretty much on his own.

I’d love for GS to lose, but they’re too stacked. And they just play a better brand of bball.

He's not a scorer until he's relegated to be one. He's better than most 4th options on any other team.
He's not a scorer period. If he's "relegated" to be one the Warriors are in trouble. He's not a 4th option either, he's the 4th best player on the team which is different (although Iggy might have a case for that as well).

He's the 5th option anytime he's out there--he's literally the the guy teams gameplan to help off of because he's such an atrocious offensive player.

When GS was "good" but not "great", Curry almost always led the team in rebounds. Now it's the big who does that most often. However, CP3 has 11 boards and Capella has what, 6? More stat padding, not getting back on defense. They've learned from Westbrook how to pad stats. They probably know they cannot win, they just want numbers. CP3 is notoriously satisfied with a fake concern when he has an early playoff exit. , he does everything in his power to ensure it.
