And I have no idea why you guys entertain TSA's infinite regressions. He started off saying no one but Susan Rice would get indicted. Multiple indictments and guilty pleas later and he has just moved to this current idiocy.

    It's a waste of time.

Repugs LOVE to refer to THEIR Watergate scandal

‘Bigger than Watergate’ : Trump joins push by allies to expose role of an FBI source

President Trump’s allies are waging an increasingly aggressive campaign to undercut the Russia investigation by exposing the role of a top-secret FBI source.

The effort reached new heights Thursday as Trump alleged that an informant had improperly spied on his 2016 campaign

The dispute pits Trump and the Republican chairman of the House Intelligence Committee against the Justice Department and intelligence agencies,

The stakes are so high that the FBI has been working over the past two weeks to mitigate the potential damage if the source’s iden y is revealed

The bureau is taking steps to protect other live investigations that the person has worked on and is trying to lessen any danger to associates if the informant’s iden y becomes known

“The prior government did it, but the present government, for some reason I can’t figure out, is covering it up,”

Giuliani said, adding that ( there's a lot of Julie Annie can't figure out)

confirmation of an informant could render the Mueller investigation “completely illegitimate.” wishful thinking

A New York Times story published Wednesday about the beginnings of the Russia probe reported that

at least one government informant met several times with two former Trump campaign advisers, Carter Page and George Papadopoulos.

    https://www.washingtonpost.com/politics/bigger-than-watergate-trump-joins-push-by-allies-to-expose-an-fbi-source/2018/05/17/db211542-59ea-11e8-8836-a4a123c359ab_story.html?ncid=newsltushpmgnews__The MorningEmail__051818&noredirect=on&utm_term=.0ba2a ef8b274

So the Repug talking point is that the FBI, based on BFI's targets' contacts with Russians, etc, having an FBI mole to figure out what was going on is illegal?

the reverse is ALWAYS true: FBI putting a mole into Dems / goring the Dem ox, would be vehemently defended by Repugs as patriotic, "rule of law", etc

Repugs KNOW their boy Trash is going down, so

they are panicking, desperately shotgunning for anything that will shut down Mueller's "law and order" bulldozer,

esp before the risk of Repugs losing the House is realized.

Trump suggests in tweet Justice Dept is 'out to frame' him

President Donald Trump suggested on Friday that the Justice Department spied on his 2016 campaign, quoting a Fox News anchor who said law enforcement is "out to frame him."

Trump tweeted: "Really bad stuff!" Trash always so eloquent!

The suggestion seems intended to undercut the work by special counsel Robert Mueller, who is investigating Russian interference in the
    2016 election.

Last week, the National Review raised the question of a possible FBI spy on Trump's campaign.

In his tweet, Trump quoted Fox Business anchor

David Asman: "Apparently the DOJ put a Spy in the Trump Campaign.

This has never been done before and by any means necessary, they are out to frame Donald Trump for crimes he didn't commit."

" Robert Costa, one of the reporters on the story, tweeted after its publication, noting:

A person "close to Trump tonight calls after reading Post story, worries that DOJ-POTUS-Congress situation is a "tinderbox."

Says Kelly and McGahn trying best to calm the tensions,

but outside allies are pushing for a showdown,

especially as blogs + cable speculate about source..."

    https://www.alternet.org/news-amp-politics/fbi-literally-working-protect-source-because-trumps-allies-are-so-dangerous-report

I wonder if Mueller is planning to gore Trash soon, to avoid doing it too close to mid-terms? Is that what the Repugs/Fox fear?

3 Notable Things Giuliani Said During His Freewheeling Interview On CNN

1.) On FBI Director Chris Wray’s assertion that the Mueller probe is not a witch hunt: “He’s wrong,” Giuliani said. “I know more about the case than he does.”

2.) On the FBI informant who reportedly met with Trump campaign officials in the run-up to the 2016 election: “I don’t know for sure, nor does the President, that there really was [an informant],” Giuliani said. “We’re told that.”

3.) On Trump’s old accusation that former President Barack Obama wiretapped Trump Tower: “At one point, the President thought there was a wiretap,” said Giuliani. “We were never notified that he was on a tap,” he added, admitting that there has never been any proof of that claim.

    This is the
first time that anyone on Trump’s team has admitted that Trump’s often-repeated smear of Obama was specious.

The Trump-Russia Conspiracy Is Getting Weird, Y’all. A HOLY Investigation Into WHAT THE ?

Did you read Wonkette’s HILARIOUS BLOGTIMES POST about Donald Trump’s crazy-ass lawyer Marc Kasowitz and his maybe-drunk mean girl emails to somebody who emailed asking him to resign after seeing him on “The Rachel Maddow Show”? Have you been reading this week’s CRAZY NEWS about Donald Trump Jr. and his sexcellent conspiracy meeting with Russian lawyers, spies and hackers? Well, we’ve got a treat for you, because it turns out those two stories are connected!

As we’ve noted before, when Trump hired Kasowitz, it was reported he had BRAGGED to all his pals that he had “played a central role” in getting Donald Trump to fire New York U.S. Attorney Preet Bharara. At the time, it was just kind of a “Meh, maybe he’s just talkin’ ” sort of thing. But maybe it wasn’t! In his career, Kasowitz, on top of being Donald Trump’s thug lawyer, has represented big state-owned Russian banks. Bharara, meanwhile, was investigating this HUGE case of Russian money laundering when he was fired.

Indeed, in May, a couple months after Trump fired Bharara, the U.S. government settled the case he had been working on all of a sudden, in a move that stunned EVERYONE:

he case aimed to expose how Russian mobsters allegedly stole $230 million and hid some of the cash in New York City real estate. Also sure to come up was the su ious death of the Russian lawyer who exposed the alleged fraud, though US prosecutors weren’t alleging that the defendants were behind it.

… [L]ate Friday night, federal prosecutors in New York announced they settled the case with Prevezon, the company accused of buying up “high-end commercial space and luxury apartments” with laundered money.[…]

“What most concerns me is: Has there been any political pressure applied in this?” asked Louise S ey, an illicit finance expert who was set to testify in support of the US government on Tuesday.

The lawyer who died? Sergei Magnitsky, the guy after whom the Magnitsky Act was named. The law was entirely designed to punish the Russians who let Magnitsky die/murdered Magnitsky in prison. In response to the Magnitsky Act, Russia banned Americans from adopting bouncy Russian babies. Heard anything about bouncy Russian babies this week? Us neither.

A whistle-blower in the case, Alexander Peripilichny, collapsed and died while out for a jog in 2012. He was 44. Another lawyer, Nikolai Gorokhov, who was representing the family of Sergei Magnitsky, “fell out a fourth floor window” in March of this year, THE VERY DAY BEFORE he was supposed to go to a Russian court and “present new evidence that he claims support Magnitsky’s findings of a far-reaching conspiracy to defraud the Russian taxpayer.” Back in 2015, Preet Bharara wrote a letter saying he was worried Russia would try to hurt Gorokhov.

Guess which Russian lawyer was fighting on THE OTHER SIDE of that case, representing Prevezon, the Russian company accused of all the money laundering? YOU’LL NEVER GUESS, so we’ll just tell you it was Natalia Veselnitskaya, the Russian lawyer lady who brought her Russian spy hacker pal to meet with Donald Trump Jr. in Trump Tower in June of 2016, CAN YOU EVEN BELIEVE IT? When the Prevezon case was settled, Veselnitskaya said it was “almost an apology from the [U.S.] government” for even bringing the case in the first place. What’s weird, though, besides how ALL OF THIS IS WEIRD, is that, as Kevin Drum notes at Mother Jones, before the case was suddenly settled, it was “not going well for Prevezon.”

Veselnitskaya is a crusader against the Magnitsky Act, and if you’ll remember, Trump Junior’s first explanation for his Russian meeting was that they talked about BOUNCY RUSSIAN BABIES, which Drum explains is basically code for talking about the Magnitsky Act.

When Marc Kasowitz was bragging about how he got Trump to fire Preet Bharara, he reportedly told Trump, “This guy is going to get you.” Wonder what he meant by that! What did Marc Kasowitz know, and when did he know it? We know Trump’s legal team knew about Junior’s Russian meeting weeks ago, but has Kasowitz been in the know for even longer than that?

Lawyer Who Met Don Jr. Was Key Player In High-Profile Money Laundering Case

In July of 2016, Donald Trump, Jr. met a 42-year-old Russian attorney named Natalia Veselnitskaya who had promised him damaging information about then-candidate Hillary Clinton.

One of his father’s contacts, a music publicist named Rob Goldstone, had arranged the meeting as a favor to a client of his, the Azeri real estate developer and pop singer Emin.

Goldstone had worked with the Trumps on the 2013 Miss Universe pageant in Moscow.

There were other reasons to take the meeting, too:

Emin’s father, Aras Agalarov, is the 51st-richest man in Russia and an instrumental figure in the President’s aborted foray into Russian real estate: the Moscow tower he tried—and failed—to erect.

Trump Jr. has said he knew absolutely nothing about Veselnitskaya before their meeting, not even her name.

She turned out to use the promise of information that could help his father’s campaign as a pretext to discuss reinstating a popular Russian-American adoption program, according to his version of events. What could be more harmless?

In fact, Veselnitskaya was already a key figure for the defense in one of the most notorious money-laundering scandals in recent memory,

encompassing $230 million in public funds

allegedly stolen from the Russians by a network of corrupt bureaucrats and

routed through ironclad Swiss bank accounts into real estate sales, including some in Manhattan.

And she was accused of lobbying U.S. officials for a Russian NGO that sought to overturn the Russian ban on U.S. adoptions, according to a complaint filed with the U.S. Justice Department and Sen. Chuck Grassley (R-IA).

Trash and his entourage are paddling in the kiddie pool occupied with Russian sharks

Algarov was the same guy who gave the "very large gift". And with whom Michael Cohen was communicating with about a Trump development deal in Moscow as late at June of 2016, months after they originally said it fell apart.
