    US drone strike kills son of Pakistan Taliban leader Mullah Fazlullah





    Up to 20 militants are believed to have been killed in an American drone strike on a compound said to have been used by Mullah Fazlullah, head of the Pakistani Taliban.

    The strike was carried out in a remote area of Kunar province in Afghanistan and the dead are believed to include the leader’s son and senior commanders. One of them, Qari Yaseen, is believed to have trained suicide bombers.

    It's a risky move, but it could be rewarding. Certainly no one else has spoken KJU's language thus far. Maybe he wants a seat at the table, maybe he just wants to show his own people that he's powerful enough to get an audience with the POTUS, and he'll credit the nuclear program for that. Other countries will follow suit. It's like negotiating with a terrorist, but it's a bit too late, when the nukes are pointed at you to feign steadfast defiance.

    They canceled because NoKo was talking and Trump already knew they were planning on a no show. Trump walking away is the best thing he could have done. It's the Art of the Deal.
