It's Saturday. This game doesn't even start until 9 PM on the east coast. It makes sense on weeknights but it's dumb on weekends when you have all day.
To make matters worse, FOX scheduled its game of the week, coincidentally featuring the Astros, at roughly the same time. They had ALL DAY to schedule.

That's what DVR is for.
Heck, even 5 Pacific and 7/8 ET makes more sense.
Finally...
I miss the NBA on NBC days when they were Saturday afternoon games.
To allow as much rest and preparation as possible. It's not like a RS game.. Playoff games aren't guaranteed to happen after game 4.
WTF? It's a weekend game. They still could have tipped two hours earlier. It doesn't make that much of a difference. What if it goes triple overtime? The only people left out east would be the diehards.
Speaking of questionable scheduling, why isn't C's-Cavs on ABC? Not everyone has ESPN (Ironically, I have cable).

The 1 day break in between game 6 and 7 makes no sense
They could have two days between but they already worked in a huge gap between 2-3, plus it keeps a more or less even advantage between the conferences if both go to a Game 7 if one ends just after the other.
They tryin' to hurry up and get the done, they know it's going to be the same .
So that it can achieve its main purpose of lulling people to sleep withtoday’s nba snooze fest dribble dribble chuck miss vomitball
