People always overreact to the here and now. The Warriors and Cavs both have to win Game 7 on the road.
They had no choice with Paul out. They weren't gonna beat the Warriors by trading baskets. The strategy actually looked good early on.

Going to the Finals is ALWAYS better than not going to the Finals. Win or lose.
Same has always been true for Harden as well. The OKC 3 are the epitome of referee exploiting to get to the line.
loser
Klay taking a big wet right on your got head
some ty "hot takes" up in here. Got real quiet after a while though.
Don't lump Westbrook in with those two floppers. He gets less free throws than he probably should:
Even if they win the championship, Warriors are going to require a major reconstruction of their roster..the mileage continues to increase, Durant and Curry are nearing the end of their prime, Iguodala is nearly finished, they don't have any reliable players outside of their top 5..
All three were in the top 10 of FTA in Harden's final year in OKC. Having 3 people on the same team be in the top 10 FTA in the NBA says they trained to get to the FT line, and that includes a lot of acting classes and exploiting angles and moves to force the whistle. Lebron plays to score, not to get to the line. FTAs are a side effect of Lebron's tenacity. For the OKC 3, it was their core game play.
This come lately graph is worthless, we all know RW takes 40 shots a game.
I think they have a couple years left before Steph's shooting tapers off and he's forced to pass more or drive. The real issue will be that you have 4 guys who possibly think they deserve max pay.
Kobe shot 6 for 24 in a critical Finals game and won the Finals MVP.
It's nothing new.
Boiled down:::Westbrook gets less free throws than expected based on how often he drives to the hoop. Durbeta and especially Frauden get more.
Boiled down, all three are historically overly dependent on getting to the FT line, so when that doesn't happen they either lose or they join a juggernaut.
But Westbrook isn't dependent on the officiating like those other two are - especially Frauden, who becomes a rich man's Jamal Crawford with a beard when he's not getting all his flop calls. Westbrook never gets the calls and still fills the stat sheet while dragging trash to the playoffs.
It was obvious it was over from the look on his face when it happened. He just sat there.
Yep, it’s a wrap. These mother ers about to luck out with an opponent's star player getting injured while he was pushing their in..
I think a case could be made that at least some of Paul's woes are questionable at best. the real ones, likely diagnosed by a team doctor, are highlighted. How can you diagnose "sore"? He has to say it. So he has a decent game in the WCF, and then he checks out. He's done that a few times. Dude could just be a quitter when the heat is on.
I here ya, but it's not like they were playing the Clippers. Houston beat them 6 times this year.![]()
How many of those teams were playing shorthanded against arguably the best roster ever constructed?
It's over for the Rockets. They're going to get blown out in game 7, I guarantee it.
It all depends on Paul. With him, they win it all. Without him, tomorrow is similar to tonight.
what do you mean, he already choked. A strain is recovered in a month, 3 weeks if you're really pushing it and want to get reinjured.
