Turns out he talked to more than one person about that day. That's from an interview done more than a month before the video in your OP.
Also, Ashley Kurth, the teacher who stopped Hogg and dozens of other students from going in the direction of the shooter gave an interview with Hogg also a month before the CBS story.
She took the names of the students she kept in her room.
David Hogg was one of those names.

Hogg was sitting at home when he heard about the shots fired, and he then rode his bike three miles to the school to get videos and interviews. That's his story. If you say he didn't change it, then okay.
