I like soccer and have been watching more lately, but other than boxing and tennis, it definitely feels like the shadiest sport in terms of match-fixing

I'm not a conspiracy theorist by any means, but I couldn't help but think Liverpool's goalie got a nice bag for that performance..

A sport where Arabs have so much power and the WC is being held in Russia, etc, seems like so much potential for shady

I didn't know anything about him before, but after watching that ESPN feature and reading about him, my mind was blown

Thing is, povertyball isn't a real sport. It's more like WWE, tbh. The saddest part is that even with the scripting and rigging, it's still boring to the point of being unwatchable.

"sport" decided by this ... for the championship no less, at the highest level. not some random beer league

Why I dislike soccer. The low scoring turns me off not because I want to see goals out of boredom, but because flukes such as this (and penalty kicks rewarded to diving players that have decided more matches than I can count) often decide games, since soccer is the hardest sport in the world to make comebacks in. And then there's Mario Party

The second mistake was just as bad .

I recommend soccer goalies come work with MLB infielders to learn proper fundamentals to better catch moving balls (which move much slower in soccer)

That said, flukes add character to a sport and give you the sense anything can happen, but when they're solely responsible for the outcome, it's not satisfying. That goes for any sport.
