Yeah, we did discuss this, and that's the scenario I wrote in my previous post. Doesn't change the fact that it was the Spurs that decided to go in a different direction, tbh...
We already discussed this about 20 times. Manu cost us Boban. Chinook and other cap experts confirmed.
I don't have time to look up their posts, especially to show a poster like FL and his alt

I don't use alts, dimwit.
Unless you have a Bird exception you cannot go over the cap to resign your guys. When Gasol signed the cap room was done. They Arenas rule has to do with what other teams can offer as it pertains to what what Washington did in overpaying to sign arenas away from Golden State. We didn't have to rescind our QO because he made in the one year he played for us so it was peanuts.
How about you show us a tweet about the rookie contract which is irrelevant next? Dumb is as dumb does, dim.
As Nono points out if they could have gone over the cap to sign him by matching then how does Manu's deal prevent anything? You just don't know what the you are talking about.
And I don't give a what Chinook says and you don't get to speak for him anyway.. He was the same guy that said it was impossible to sign LMA. How'd that work out? He makes nice tables and that is about it.
Well, Dwight also makes Boban look foolish in the same game
Dwight looked spry taking that ball cross court to the hoop!
LMA for Dwight would make a ton of sense for both teams, TBH.
LMA for Dwight? Tell that to Pops.![]()
Howard could potentially get bought out at some point, no need to trade LMA.
Try Pau for Dwight instead.
I mean, if the Spurs want to lose, it makes a ton of sense.
Defense was always the problem with Boban.
He looks like a perimeter player compared to Boban.![]()
Heh. If Pop was surprised by LMA acting out I don’t think he’s prepared to deal with Howard
How long does Howard remain happy with whichever team he plays for? Lots of past history tells me he wouldn't be happy with the Spurs either.
Boban could be an All-Star in San Antonio.

Truth is that Boban is getting that part because he's a seven foot freakish looking euro dude that can pull off the Andre the Giant type role.
Kawhi won't jump off the page as anything unique for any director, and his acting skills won't be landing him any great parts. Lots of famous athletes in Los Angeles to draw from. He's not suddenly going to be this sought after representative for any product simply by relocating there. He'll need more than a new address to suddenly become the sultan of endorsement deals...like perhaps some acting lessons and personality infusion.
His camp may well be pushing him that direction, but I don't see it panning out for him that way if that's his ultimate plan.
...which again, I don't think that is his plan at all.
This man was shooting perfect from 3pt land
Bobi can't miss the 3!
Balmer > Whoever owns the Spurs now?![]()
