Yes believe it or not there are people out there who are actually into things and have been for a long time. yes It happens...ok? I got into this stuff at around 8/9 years old (late 50's), I started keeping notebooks, writing things down. Then around 66, I discovered Track & Field News magazine, been a subsriber up until earlier this year when they dumped the mag format.
Dude, just how damn dense are you, you really can't tell I'm into this stuff totally, really? My God guy, you don't have eyes?
On track forums we find others who know this stuff, they can talk Francis Baldwin and Dallas Baptist, they know abouT Michael Norman, They can talk Jamaican sprinting. I fit right in, actually a bit of a legend. Not as Avante.

Oh yes, SFS a World Record holder as a little kid............
This is what a 19.5 looks like, now imagine a little middle school kid running stride for stride with the amazing Tommie Smith.
I knew his younger brother Ernie from flag football, they were from nearby Lemoore***. Ernie a good sprinter/hurdler while at Oregon State.
Tommie Smith was rare in that he could sustain/maintain his max velocity on a whole other level than everybody else until Bolt showed up. And like Bolt he decellerated at a much slower pace.

As ya know in 2019 we'll have the World Championships with the Olympics in 2020. So in your EXPERT opinion who do we expect to be seeing on our USA 4x1 relay? Who will run what legs? I get it's early so as of right now what's your take?
As ya know Justin Gatlin is getting old***, he probably won't be there in 2020, so who takes his place on that second leg?
*** World class sprinter old is mid 30's.
If asked to get specific with athletes this EXPERT has yet to deliver. It's as if he really doesn't know who is even in the sport. Watch him give us.....nothing here. And no ya can't Google what his opinion is. Far more to a 4x1 relay than just four fast guys.
Some sprinters excell on that leadoff leg like Nesta Carter, some are dynamite on that long second leg like Justin Gatlin, others have that curve down on the third leg like Tyson Gay, then we have that stud anchor to bring it home like Carl Lewis, Usain Bolt.
