Why? You don't think he is or what?
Eh, he probably is, it's just the way he said it.

How could he possibly join the Warriors? Would trading Klay and Green be enough? Not sure I believe he'll meet the Dubs.

Bruh the season isn’t even over...

SAS literally says... “I just want to let everyone know..but please don’t react because this isn’t going to happen...but LeBron will have conversations with Warriors”

Like that’s just pure media speculation/click bait/ratings like I’ve ever seen..and then he names 6 other teams lmao.

This whole thing is a joke. Just wait until the season is over and let the draft approach before we cement any speculation

If Lebron opts into his deal that opens up the world for any team. GS would easily have the assets (Klay / Dray / picks) to get it done

The key is Bron opting in. If he does that it makes it so teams don’t need cap space to sign him which makes it possible for all teams.

Wouldn't the trade have to basically be concurrent with him opting in? I can't imagine LeBron opting in without any idea where he's going, that opens the door for Gilbert to re-exert his bag side and just keep LeBron anyway.

While I doubt LeBron will come here and have never thought he would, I also think this reporting by SAS is bs. LeBron is in the middle of the NBA finals. He is not exploring potential teams until the off-season and it's too early to tell what teams he would want to go to or even if he wants to leave Cleveland. But San Antonio is hardly on that list. It's not an exciting big city. While it does have a HOF coach, Pop is near the end and no one knows if he will even coach next year. Also, if I were him, I'd have some doubts about Kawhi and whether he's healthy or mental tough to play next season. LeBron doesn't want to invest a year with a player that didn't play last year and is yet to show he has a clean bill of health and that was cleared to play, and then didn't. Just image how pissed LeBron would've been this year if he came to SA and Kawhi sat the whole year after being medically cleared.

I just see San Antonio as lacking the guaranteed upside (Boston, Philly, GSW-doubt this is even an option, or Houston) and big city appeal that make up the other choices.

But stick to strictly basketball..that’s should be the main focus in all this. Yes the Kawhi factor is huge but not only for a pitch to LeBron but for the Spurs themselves. Pop isn’t going anywhere especially if you get LeBron at the table..just strictly sell hoops and winning les and beating GSW.

If you strictly focus on that the Spurs are the front runners..and that’s not a biased opinion but pretty much been says by most if not all media talking heads. Getting LeBron to the table is the hardest part and the Spurs must decide what they want to do with roster with or without him before they even approach him.

Not one media person has said SA is the front runner. They’ve suggested it as a good fit. But SA only makes sense if there is a healthy Kawhi. That’s a question mark. Boston has a bunch of young stars. Philly has young stars. I would start there if I were LeBron. Those teams have proven, young talent and could easily get James a max and keep him in the East where he would cake walk to the finals.

The only NBA team that will not blow up their entire team to get Lebron is GS. Every other team is going to do what ever he asks them to do so for Flakers he could say you sign me you sign Cousins and you sign George then we got a deal. Or he could say Philly you get Kawhi and I’ll sign with you etc..

Theoretically yes. But I don’t really see that as being an issue in the real world.

When it comes to strictly basketball yes they have...you can look it up.

It’s about beating GSW. “Young Stars” are great and all but LeBron isn’t 29 or 30 he’s going to be 34. Again focusing on strictly basketball Spurs are the best option along with Boston and that depends on Kyrie...and forget the East or West thing it’s about WINNING the le or two.

If you just focus on basketball/matchup against GSW yes it’s the Spurs.

The question is can they fix all questions moving parts to even get LeBron to meet

So you would rather go to war with Gasol over Embid? You would rather go to war with Anderson over Ben Simmons or Tatum? We don't even know what Kawhi is right now. We haven't seen Kawhi play more than a hand full of games in a year and we know that he was cleared to play and refused. And if you take Kawhi out of the picture, who on the Spurs does LeBron really want to play for when he could mentor and play with future all-stars that would guarantee him a trip to the finals every year for the rest of his career and have as good a chance of beating GSW as the Spurs creaky and miscast roster.

And no commentator has indicated that LeBron is in any way favoring San Antonio. All they are saying is that it would be a good fit. They say the same stuff about Boston and Philly. But in this case, Boston and Philly make way more sense than SA.

That would require three max salary slots. The LAL don't have three max salary slots. They can barely create two, and that's if they renounce everyone that is a FA.

    Bruh are you serious??

You’re not grasping what I’m getting at..You compared Embiid to Gasol and not LMA? You compared Simmons to Anderson and not to Kawhi? Like are you that negative you try to spin it any way you can?

And yes media heads have stated that IF LeBron is looking for a basketball fit and a team with him added that matchups with GSW..it’s the Spurs

Broussard, Cris Carter, Stephen Jackson, Max Kellerman, Stephen A Smith, Cowherd have all said that Spurs are the best basketball fit. And yes I’m fully aware if Kawhi situation isn’t fixed it’s irrelevant but doesn’t take a genius to figure out.

Am I saying it’s going to happen?! No..I’ve stated on this board I think he’s going to Houston and I stated that BEFORE the season started..I’m just pointing out the obvious along with others if it’s a “basketball” decision Spurs SHOULD be the favorite. But as most know more than basketball possibly plays a part in his choice

We don't know if Kawhi will be on the Spurs. And LMA hasn't shown that he can play with other stars. But I think LeBron picks Simmons/Embid over an unknown status of Kawhi and LMA. I definitely think he'd pick the Boston situation, which could set him up for a great team for a long time. He'd have a great coach and the Celtics could trade Kyrie and get something nice to upgrade the roster.

Broussard, Carter, Jackson, et. al. have all said pairing LeBron with Kawhi and Pop would be a great situation. But that no where says that the Spurs are front runners to get him. There's a big difference between those two statements. P.S. Colin Cowherd says that LeBron should join the Warriors, he never even mentions the Spurs and Doug Gottlieb has dismissed it outright. So even in the hypothetical, Spurs aren't the main opinion as the best place for LeBron to go amongst the professional commentators.

We all know it's not going to happen. But you can go ahead and dream of the possibility. I'd be happy if the Spurs could just re-sign Kawhi and he played like he did two years ago. That said, no guarantee Kawhi will re-sign or be a superstar again.

You still missed my ENTIRE point...

“BASKETBALL FIT” Spurs are the best option..why is that hard to understand.

Yes I said it’s not likely due to other reasons besides basketball..

You’re acting like I’m saying Spurs are and should be the favorite regardless..not true. You ignored what I was trying to say and then compared Anderson/Gasol to Simmons/Embid like that’s a reasonable argument someone would make...

    Like wtf??
